Jon/Moody, I ended up with that Adamas I neck that had the last few frets broken off and a big ding that I fixed. While I was building my Kayak with Glass and Epoxy I cut/split and mended this Fiberglass Ovation bowl. Then fast forward to a Sitka Spruce top with Quintad-like bracing and some 3M Marine adhesive... Still don't know about the sound hole(s). Open to ideas!

We are fanatics, and possibly dogmatic, but will not excommunicate any of The Faithful for creativity. Those are very worthy projects. Any refinements in the protocol discovered, in duplicating the pebbled bowl texture?

How's about the very old-fashioned F-style openings, a la the Proto that will eventually find its' way home to France? And...since the Dread's a bigger body, those openings seem to have worked out well over the centuries for violas and cellos. Beautiful work, as usual, Woodrow..... --Karen
