On February 5th, my wife and I lost our oldest son, Patrick . None of you knew Pat, which is a shame because he was such a great son, husband, father, and friend. For the past several weeks I’ve been reading your posts and wanting to join in, but for some reason it felt wrong for me to be doing things that I enjoyed. I still feel that way to some degree, but now I could really use the distraction (I'll bet ksdaddy knows what I'm going through). I know I’m still new to this group compared to many of you, and though I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting any of you face to face, I truly value your support and friendship. Say a little prayer for us if you're so inclined, and tell your kids you love them every chance you get. Nick

It might feel like two months is pretty early for someone in your situation to "allow" themselves to do "normal" things, but give yourself permission to start reaching out. We're very glad to see you here today. John <>{

Tragically, and probably even more difficult to deal with than his death itself, my son took his own life. Unexpected and unimaginable. We'll never know why.So sorry for your loss.
