I've been busy with the new place, and I feel like I'm at the point of being able to throw this out there...

Anyone into a NW OFC get together? I'm offering to host this one. Aside from the spacious floorplan upstairs, monster deck with Seattle skyline and water views, and of course the Weber grill (excellent heat distribution!), I've put together what I feel a worthy place for us to congregate and jam...

OK, so the last pic wasn't my place, but I can dream!

Aside from my typical Labor Day at the Gorge weekend, I'm open to all dates for now.

Anyone?.... Bueller?

1-day affair? Community forays? Spousal entertainment options (BellSquare, etc.)?

Very nice Damon! A ManCave with a guitar alcove, that's awesome! (Nice collection, too. Is that the restored UKII in the corner?)

Damon, your "space" is looking mighty fine! A little bit of neon, a few well-placed static banners and some signs . . . your Bandcave is ready for the magazines.

Coming from you Brad, that's a compliment for sure.

Yes, that's the UKII that Mother fixed for me. It's not all the guitars, but it's all that's gonna fit in there.

And seesquare, yes to all. Sara will be here playing Hostess, and as for things to do, I'm exactly one half block from the intersection of Bellevue Way and Main St. Yes, that close to all of the shopping/restaurants/museum/parks etc.

Something for all.

The main floor has a 25'x25' westerly facing deck with partial Seattle Skyline and Lake Washington view, and it also is leakproof underneath where the music room is, so we have a 25'x25' umbrella so to speak if needed.

It's a good place for a gathering. I thought that immediately when we first had a look at it.

I'll do more pics in a bit.

I think August is a good month too, let's narrow it to that for starters. I should have 2 of my boys here around then too. If Nick can be here, he's quite an accomplished drummer.

Here are a few more pics of the place in my ning albums...

The new place

Please be forgiving on messes, my excuse is we're still getting situated! No pictures on walls, still some work to be done.

Nice! A sunny day! What a novel concept. Sorry, all us Inland Empire denizens are a bit jaded.
Perhaps we should take up a collection to pay the weather bill, in advance.

August is pretty booked for me, but you guys pick a date and I'll try to fly up if I can make it.
AJ, my wine cellar is overflowing after a Washington wine tour in May and a week in Sonoma in June, but it's almost all white. You're welcome anyway.

Jim, I might have something laying around...

If you come out again, we'll open up some special stuff.

The wine's still in cases. There's a perfect space for a 50ish bottle wine cooler in the kitchen. I've been looking for a deal on one.

THe basement keeps it relatively well though.

"OFC Built Guitar Giveaway/Raffle (now accepting donations)."
So, Mike, are you volunteering to do a "build", and need parts?
Or, you have a critter to donate, and our affluent membership needs to purchase tickets?

But where would you find a Batgirl willing to work it?

We're a dunno, but August would be good enough,
if we can get away.
Sure would like to try.
I'll stay tuned in for now.

I am volunteering to be the assembler of any donated parts and if this is raffled to support the Hosts (Web and home) then I think it would be a good thing.
We could also sell chances* via email and all that kind of legal talk that makes Mr. Big shiver in his boots!!!

No amount of reinforcement will stop him, so you just better take it off and put caution signs on the glass doors.
The host probably needs some sort of caution sign, too, probably involving Syrah.

I'm in Seattle and I would be interested in a gathering, as long as no one asks me to play :)
