Joined: December 2005 Posts: 247 Location: Seacoast NH | Thanks to Mitzdawg up in NH for setting me up with my first Adamas, a 2000 Mill-CB. Was actually looking around for a new guitar for a buddy of mine when I came across it, offered him first dibs, but he's more of a wood box type of guy and wasn't interested... Four days and much negotiation later w/ SWMBO about foregoing future Bday and Xmas gifts for the foreseeable future, it was mine. Also, same friend who 'Doesn't really like Ovations' strummed it for the first time and said "How is it that this thing sounds like its coming through in stereo when it's unplugged?" :)

Joined: December 2005 Posts: 247 Location: Seacoast NH | I think they made 75 of them. I'll double check on the number tonight and report back. I'll also try to take some better pics of the inlays and everything... It does have some excess glue around one of the epaulets -- looks like an attempted home repair. Can anybody give me a rough estimate on costs for the factory to clean it up or other advice on removing? Thanks!

Also, glad to hear your wood-box friend was at least intrigued by the guitar. Enjoy the next ten years worth of Christmas/birthday/Father's Day presents!!

Rare indeed (75 made for the U.S. Market, I think, maybe a few more for the Japanese ... check Jerome site at http//www.OvationTribute.com and you can see which ones were which. The guitar sounds beautiful has a WONDERFUL neck (a bit large nut width too) ... just delightful, and Mitzdawg is a good guy. Congrats on your fabulous new Adamas ... like someone else wrote ... now you're in trouble, because you'll want more ... ;) Willa
