Since getting mine from eBay I have had it out of the case no more than twice. I do not do the guitar justice as I play rythm and not much finger-style which I understand is outstanding on this guitar. If you recall, this guitar came from a music store in the southeast, so I am the initial owner. This guitar should go to someone who knows and appreciates what a FD-14 Folklore Deluxe is. I'm making room for my "Bluebird" 12-string being put together by Wayne O'connor up in Canada. I found a Mint Deacon 12 sometime ago and Wayne has made a body for me. I just counted 15 guitar cases on the other side of my home office, most of them Ovation of course. George :)

Also, I was able to email Dave O, who builds guitars @ Ovation to ask him his opinion of the FD 14. This man builds lots and lots of guitars and mando's at the Mother Ship. There were only 50 made and he was so impressed, he bought one. Now Dave and I have something in common. In addition, think about what a rare find of a guitar this is. It's sure to go up in value. But don't buy it for the investment. Buy it for the love. You won't be sorry. PS: It's better acoustically than it is plugged in. Jim

Unfortunately, I just bought another guitar on the list, and I'm still waiting for the OFC guitar. So it's not just that I'm not in the market right now, I can't be in the market right now. Not and stay married.

Dave A made-up, but could be true story Dave: "Here try my FD14" Guest: "Plain looking litttle bastard, aint't" Dave: "Yup" Guest: "Where's the equalizers and stuff?" Dave: "Ain't got em" Guest: "Fancy Abalonley Inlays?" Dave: "Ain't got em" Guest: "Classical headstock, eh?" Dave: "Yup" Guest: "Wide little neck on this puppy" Dave: "Yup" Guest: "No cutaway, huh?" Dave: "Nope" Guest: "Well, let me give her a strum" Dave: "Be careful" Guest: "HOLY FREAKIN' CRAP - THAT'S GOOD"

I'd like to see the pictures when you post them ... I remember a little from the eBay ad but yours will no doubt be better. As for me, my GAS attack is nearly over ... just waiting for one more to show up and then I'll be done for a while.

She even installed an "invisible" dog fence around my music room just to control incoming shipments. It hasn't been easy. Actually collection is less than half what it was 2 years ago. All solidbodies, legends, pacemakers, elites, and collectors are gone. I'm down to the "bare essentials" - plus a "few" ukuleles.
