Gas pains galore!

I would really like to try one of the textured top twelve strings. Anyone willing to part with one?

Would like to hear from those with an interesting 12 string multi-hole of any kind!

Doesn't have to be pretty, although they all are.

Sales or Trade ideas are welcome!

I want a textured top 12 string too, but not a shallow bowl, which seem to be the ones I find. The shallows are awesome, played an adamas 12 string with a shallow bowl at Al's once that was really sweet, but I'd still rather purchase a deeper bowl. They are hard to find.

Good luck!
Johnny

Hmmm, deep bowl 12 is on my wish list.
I might have to make a serious run at this one.

It does, I did.

The photography looks almost too good! I am sure this one will go high (for me) but it's OK to dream.

The AI 12 DB market has been a little dry lately so there is bound to be significant interest.

one thing to consider, the factory current -8 is darker than the original -8. don't misunderstand, the guitar is beautiful but it is a darker blue.

here is a photo of mine next to -7's (3 Adamas I and an Adamas II)

My guess is that this one will run at least $2k or more.

$2,000 would be a steal...not sure of the pre-amp in the eBay one but a new one w/OP-50/XLR (or OP-Pro) would be a long wait (custom order) & over $2,600.

Aren't those photos from a flyer? They don't look original. Nice guitar, however.

Dave, that's what I thought!

I will ask Seller for some real pics.

Where is Avondale in relation to your museum, er, house?

This seller is or was an OFC member. Or has taken the pics from an OFC member. He's also selling an early 90's Collectors. Damned if I can remember who's gallery their in, but there are pics like these of all of this person's guitars. I'm pretty certain he does them himself.

Dave, I’ll take that as a compliment, I worked hard on the pictures. I couldn’t find any catalog picture of a 12 string with the optima preamp. You may be thinking of the cover of the 94-ovation catalog with a black six string on the cover or the 97 catalog that has a 1687-8 inside. As I recall, ovation catalogs never show the label through the sound holes.

Hers a tip for you guys on this thread. You’ll have to anty-up 16 to be a player. I’ll be amazed if it sees that. If any of the OFC members win and mention this thread I’ll pay the shipping and throw in my old Adamas two knob owners guide.

Dave, I can’t imagine you need another guitar but if you bid and win, I’d deliver the guitar just to see your collection. But then I’m just over her in Avondale.

Mike

$1600? I don't think you will have any trouble reaching that. Great pics!

MSB,

I apologize for doubting your picture origination. Please consider it a compliment for the quality of your photography as well as one of the quirks of working with Ebay. Very nice!

Please disregard the ebay question you got from fishgiven (me).

If I thought it would only go around $1600 I'd be unloading some of my own stuff to pay for it! You have given me the worst case of GAS I have had in a while!
