Gollee...didn't realize that this is a Legend Limited or Ltd, last made in 1983.

Made last year, has AAA spruce, ebony fretboard, deep bowl, and A brace...seems to be a less frills Custom Legend.

And, all but one of the 100 were sold to Japan...too bad I can't read Japanese.

as crazy as this may sound I have another one of these guitars on it's way to me. I am NOT sure if this one is part of the 100 limited Japanese guitas but it will have all the same physical accoutrements. This one will carry a 5 year frg warranty.

If you are a Lennon or Beatles collector, this is a guitar that you want. if you are not a Lennon or Beatles fan you will want it because it is a beautiful looking and sounding instrument.
e me if you are interested.
thanks again

What the heck, you might end up being the Japanese Dealer of the Month.

Did they give you a volume discount? And, they didn't have to ship them very far...

 :p  :p

Gee, maybe you should join a John Lennon Fan Club and casually mention the rarity, the purpose and the special fan club special mark-up ($3,500 without case). :p :p

In all seriousness, won't have mine until Tuesday but a Legend Ltd in new condition - great opportunity for a more than "reasonable" price. I believe that the last Limited (noncutaway, AAA spruce, deep bowl, A brace) production model was in 1983.

I only make pages for models that I own.

PS: look for the page to be ready soon ;)

You mean there are models you don't own? I always used your page as the reference. Seemed like you had more models than the Ovation archive listed.

Oh, there are plenty of models I have never owned (some I've never wanted to). Ironically, I have never owned an Adamas I. This may be blasphomous but I personally think the whole carved headstock thing is pretty ugly. Just does not do anything for me compared to the sweet tapered Ovation standard stock. Just my own hangup. Of course that's not to say I don't lust over a slothead reissue.

Back to the subject of this thread, and the reason a wrote "I only make serial number pages for models I own", was my way of letting you know that I just ordered one of the John Lennon guitars from Al. Complete impulse buy. Why battle the mall crowds on Friday when I can just do my xmas shopping right here with Al.
