I am contemplating selling my Book Elite. If you are interested, email me and convince me to let it go.

MrDano....it would make a great match with a certain ASW 12 string :D It just never gets played. I have had it out of the case maybe twice in the last year. It needs to be on display and played. Probably the best looking guitar that Ovation has ever made.

Paul, I think so but I have not had it out in about 4 months. If one of our experts doesn't jump in with an answer, I will check when I get home.

Who is north? If you are talking about Toronto, it is almost due east of you. As soon as my ship comes in, I'll start checking your for sale items again, Stephen. Save a few.

T28 may not know directions but we have to let him go on that because he obviously knows quality. That one's outstanding and I've heard that it sounds almost as good as it looks. Have fun with it.

Hmmmm, maybe my map reading skills are all screwed up but I think Virginia is due east of Colorado and then Toronto is due north of Virginia. Don't see any way that Toronto is due east

Anything Canada is North, Mexico is South. The stuff West of California is "The East" and everything East of Boston is "The West". Except that here in the New World we have the Old West, which came later.

And Australia is "Down Under".

What is so complicated?

Any more Geology questions?

I don't know from geology or geometry - but I know I live in Toronto and all I can hope for is that the UPS man has a compass!!

T28 - I owe you one my friend!

Congrats, Dano. It is a beauty. And I checked the map. Toronto is almost straight east of me, but Colorado is way down south. When I moved out here from Iowa the locals said I came from back east somewhere. My geology used to be pretty good, but I'm out of practice. I hope none of our friends from other countries get confused by this thread.

Oh My God, Stephent28! I never thought I'd see the day you'd let THAT one fly...All of the good ones get past me every time. I'm never prepared for stuff like this.
Enjoy that BOOK ELITE, dano. I'm very jealous...very.

Well, same old philosophy I have always had. If it starts to stay in the case more than it gets played, it is time to let it fly.

I am a collector but one that plays what he collects. Some guitars are just meant to be shared. I still have memories and photos of some amazing guitars that are now loved and played by others.

LeStrange, check out my gallery and let me know if you see something you want. I will be moving some more guitars in the very near future and your needs might influence my choices......only a few untouchables.....FD14, 1719CM, 1688, 1547, Limited 6 and Deacon 12.....

Just letting THAT guitar go. One could argue no Ovation collection would be complete without that guitar..

Sorry, nothing to do with Dano....though I did hear he wears women's underwear while ordering crullers from Tim Hortons at midnight...

Yeah.....I had my second thoughts....but then I thought about the owners that let their FD14's go. If they had not been kind enough to cut them loose, there would be a lot of us without one today.

I just hate to think about all the great guitars tucked away in someone's storage bin or under the bed. Guitars need to breathe and be played.

I know that Dano will give it a good home and play it a lot. Plus it give me an excuse to drop by if I am ever in Toronto again :D

I get it Stephen and agree that guitars are to be played, not hiding under the bed. Good Man.

Why? Tim Horton's makes pretty good crullers.
