With the exception of several dents that I tried to show in one of the photos, the top is perfect. And yes, it is as spectacular as the photos show. It's one of the best pieces of spruce I've ever seen, aged 22 years. It's got the stacked volume/tone control. When plugged in, it's got a slight crackle when the plug is wiggled around. It might need a new jack, or it might just need the connections checked. I also replaced the chrome tuners with gold ones. The major flaw(and I say that with my tongue in my cheek) the guitar has is a laquer crack on the neck at the base of the headstock. There is no structural damage to this guitar what so ever. I've photographed the laquer crack and am disclosing everything that could be considered a flaw. But unless I go looking for the crack (or the dents in the top) I never notice them. Tony Calman knows a guy in San Diego who can tell you how to fix the laquer crack. It's just never made that much difference to me. In otherwords, the "major" flaw, is extrememly minor and only cosmetic. There are more photos in my photo gallery under "Country Artist for Sale" I want $850 for the guitar and I'll pay for shipping (lower 48 states only). It will be shipped UPS and will be in an Ovation box with extra padding inside. The case is not an Ovation case but it came with the guitar when I got it 5 years ago, and is built by the same company that builds Ovation cases. Please email me with any questions.

Joined: March 2005 Posts: 12759 Location: Boise, Idaho | I think I'd rather have your 87. I bet I could get my daughter who was born in 87 to lobby for me getting one to commemorate her birth. On the other hand, I've been thinking that a Country Artist or something with a 1 7/8 neck would fill in a gap in the collection. I am running out of time to play the ones I have and really need to work on playing a Classical or the electrics. Too little time and too many guitars. I'll have to pass for now. I also have to pay next semester's tuition in a couple weeks. He did pull out a 4 point her first semester, though, and she's loving school. Thanks for the offer and sorry for the rambling explanation.

Folks don't have a lot of disposable income right now, cuz it's all been disposed of already. Once January's Federal Assistance checks clear, there'll be plenty of interested buyers. Dave

Like I've always said - If more people would just agree with ME and quit worrying about having opinions of their own, the world would be a far better place ...
