Not true T28. We stick our toes in the water to test it out. Then jump in with a big SPLASH later. Dave

Looks pretty clean, except the rough patch on the back. Wonder if I could just buy the manual? :)

You can tell it's been well cared for by the layer of sawdust on the top.

This is an early one. Notice no battery screw in the waist by the knobs.

.... the top on this one is going to be amazing. Even in the marginal photos the silking stands out, in real life this will be a looker

at least I used the words; "waist" "screw" "battery" and "knobs" in guitar related context....

Jeff, could you please educate me on this for a moment. What is "silking"?

when wood is quarter sawn, as it is on quality solid tops, it has "vein-like" threads running through the cells of the wood which reflect light at different angles creating a shimmer effect.

... Thanks for the info. I have that same guitar and it does look that good. The most phenominal top I've seen is on my old Custom Legend 12-string. It looks like your viewing a light show. When ever I get a chance to figure out how to do the picture post-thing I'll post pictures.

Well,............
The more I look at this the more interested I become. Just noticed that its close enough for a local pickup. I can't really afford it now but, well you guys know how that goes, and I don't have a SWMBO to worry about. So I may venture into this despite my earlier word.

The only thing I really don't like about it is that I would feel really limited without the cutaway, but it would really fill an empty niche for recording. Don't worry too much though, I can't go too much higher than where its at now.

I'm waiting for a reply from the seller now so I'm still not sure if I will bid or not but I wanted to say something since I had said earlier that I wouldn't.

Sorry guys but ya'll have said too many good things about this model.

Rick, it would be a great addition to the guitars you currently own. Overspend if you have to but grab it. You will be happy you did.

You've probably already outbid my max. But it'll still be a great deal above what I can afford. If I win I'll record something on it for the next OFC CD and you'll probably say "boy, I'm glad I didn't win that!"

If you haven't already, do a search for 1537. That's what I did and it began my obsession with this model. It is simply a wonderful guitar with a "unique voice", warm and woody sounding. The walnut purfling is also unique as far as I know. It is a "must have" guitar.
