She has a standard TRC and I'm sure that a Custom Legend carved TRC will be great. I sincerely hope that one of you could help. ;) I will post some pics in the next days. Thank you very much for your help. J :) ![]()

I in turn asked him if he could chronicle some of the different carved Truss Rod Covers seen over the years, on his site. I would like to start some attempts to Dremel some TRCs but I don't have a good reference. Could y'all take some pictures of your TRCs and share them so we could have a small history? Classic in Walnut? Veneer over Ebony with relief? What would look cool? CWK2 - Did these change with eras, Artists or contracts over the years? Thanks to all

I think I still have a few shots of some Deacon Bridge and TC covers I made some time back for myself. Interesting one is the one with the word DEACON fit into the space of a TRC Looks real 60's Hippie stuff. very retro. Randy

Carving the Adamas Symbol and initials in Walnut is not a problem, in fact, will look quite nice. I too do not like the look of plastic on many guitars but especially ones like your high end O Randy

| Joined: February 2004 Posts: 2487 | OK just thought i'd throw out a line here I am commited to carving one custom designed walnut truss rod cover for one of our members from across the pond. If anyone has been thinking of having one of these made for their guitar please take the plunge and do it now. I am still in the midst of a Shop rebuild and regular practices now, but I will be setting up the foredom and will clear space on the bench to work for a short while. If anyone has a request for a design of mine or one of your own...on a truss rod cover or a replacement bridge or??? anything really??? now would be a good time for me. Thanks Now back to our regularly scheduled program. | ||

| Joined: February 2004 Posts: 2487 | YA know I do not have many shots of anything I have done. VERY foolish....The only thing I can show you right now are a few shots of some work I did for fun on the deacon I have. They are in my photo section. As for your designs....feel free to draw anything at any scale to give me a good idea of what your after and I'll design something and email it for approval. Whatever you think can fit in that space or if you want we can go untraditional and make a larger cover that uses the same screw holes???? but unless it is done well this can look funny. But it can be done. Have fun, let me know what you want. Randy | ||
