Coupla bucks at most, and they're SO classy. If someone could send me one from an old beater, I've got an idea to start making my (our) own. (You'll get it back.) I started asking for one 2 years ago. Someone should give one to AJ to bring home..

The foil had a memory and wanted to be flat so after a year or two they often would pop out. Also it had to be absolutly clean under it otherwise you'd see all the little bumps, and often it looked totally clean untill you put it in and then you saw the bumps, so you take it out and toss it cause it NEVER came out cleanly, wash out the inside of the bowl and try again. They looked great but were a real pain in the ass to install, trust me.

The bleu ones came next and I think they are more of a turkey pot pie although they did tie in with the catalogues and there was a theme behind it all. The ones after that have the factory on them(what a good idea!?) and are a calm nondescript grey. You have to have some kind of lable in the guitar, otherwise the meathead at the retail level doesn't know what model it is.

With a wood box you just slap in a tan paper label and it blends right in. On an Ovation you have, 1) A stark, black surface to work with and 2) An elaborate rosette design. Both of these factors draw the eye right to that area. I never liked the blue fade labels. The label for the contour bowl models needs revision. I like the mothership labels. Make a foil label with the factory embossed on it and damn... I just might have to buy a guitar just for that!
