You must have fallen from grace, Paul. You post this and no one responds. Lanaki post the same thing a half hour later and people respond to his. Maybe being a pi has made you invisible.

I just realized I had the times wrong. You posted second. No wonder everyone but me ignored you. Now that I can't delete my post I feel like a dork, so I hope you do, too.

Note that he has changed his listing from "deluxe" to "Case: Ovation Molded Hard Shell"

Be aware that this is probably the 8158-0 case, not the 9158-0 case that higher Adamas and the higher end Ovations are supposed to come with. He is still using the picture of what looks like a new brown 9158-0. He told me that he has all of his O's and A's come with the black 8158-0 from the factory.

The case in the pic is black, with wierd lighting. If you look at the bottom left, its easier to see it.

I haven't used ebay in a while. I saw this a few days ago

http://cgi.ebay.com/Ovation-Adamas-47-30th-Anniversary-Acoustic-Gui...

and just for fun put in a ridiculously low bid.
I just got a counter-offer from the seller. Oh No!
It's a reasonable offer, I may have to do something
about it. (And here I am trying to wait out on the
OFC guitar).

that action is for the music-foundation. They would never send a counter-offer on an auction that is still running.

I think you need to beware......if you received a counter-offer I can assure you it is fake and someone will profit if you fall for the scam.

Oops!!! I posted the wrong url. I was watching that listing too.

I received the counter-offer from brotherbobbyb (if it's real).

Best way to find out is just call the 800 number and ask them to verify the counter-offer. If it is good, then grab it. These guitars are fantastic.

Just sold and listed another one.

I guess Brother Bobby got 5-6 of them in. Great opportunity for anyone to grab one at an outstanding price.

These have recently sold for amazing prices compared to list price. Anyone know what dealers are paying Ovation for them?

Not a whole lot less than the best price you've seen.
Dealers are supposed to keep all of that secret. They take a solemn pledge much like the Head shaved Monks in the Himalayas with their vow of celibacy, as did their fathers before them and their fathers before them throughout the generations!
