Not posting bidder ID's should substantially favor sellers...

Y'know, I'd always thought of LongNecks as a bit of a "novelty", but since I've had one, it's just blown my brain open when it comes to playing now . . .

I've always tried t'get our two guitars to sound "different" from each other at gigs, so usually what I'll do is capo my guitar up and play different chords (transposing the chords "down" in my head). . .

NOW with the LongNeck, I've got to transpose "up" and it totally screws with my head (let ALONE the head of the other person that I'm playing with).

It just increases your "palette" of guitar sound possiblities.

I HIGHLY recommend 'em . . .

If I wasn't financially challenged right now I'd be all over 1 of'em, and if I was in a good mood I probably scarf both...

Actually, Santa arranged for it to "have it's eggs on the JerseySide" on a full-time basis, so it goes out on the few gigs where I actually have enough room for three guitars on the meager amount of floor space I/we have to contend with . . .

Cliff et al,

Grab a longneck with big strings, tuned A-A and a Papoose tuned A-A. Problems with transposing solved!

At Ed St. Onge's that Baritone 12 was strung lightly so that it was E-E with about 50 frets open for playing. Very adaptable.

I've been having a blast with mine since I got it a couple of months ago. Lots of possibilities. Been using it strung B-B with some thicker strings (.16 -.72), although I have played around with different tunings too.

Is there any real difference between these two? The number is different. It is probably a 5 read as an S.

When two or more similar items show up at the same time it can be really good for the bidders.

I would have thought they'd go at least over $600.

A few years ago this guitar would have gone for $200 more, and this one is in better shape than the ones on the 'bay back then. I remember a very nice Longneck with the tobaccoburst finish. The reserve was never met and it never relisted.
