That's a GREAT deal! I'd say 1/2 of the going price. Somebody here should grab it QUICK. Dave

It went cheap too.... If I were to ever sell mine, my BIN would be a lot higher than $650....

badgolferman2000 = bgm2000 = Keith. Soon as it arrives I will let everyone know how it is. I also have a 1769 that will soon be headed in to the mothership for a repair on a crack in the top, a 1117, and a breadwinner project waiting to begin. However - this happily unexpected purchase will push back the breadwinner. My girlfriend is supposed to help me take some photos and I will try to post them as soon as possible.

I love the sound of the 1117 and with all the good things you guys say about the 1537 I couldnt pass it up.

I want to add my personal thanks for grabbing this so quickly. I was weakening - and I can't afford to weaken, just now.

I tried to walk away - even went out with friends for an hour or so, had a beverage and it was still there when I got back. I was also feeling the loss of the Adamas that Thierry snagged the other day as I was watching and let the end of the auction slide by without even bidding. Oh well - I think this will help ease the pain. :)

Loss replaced with anticipation; nice perscription! Now that's a sweet pill to swallow.
Congrats on a great grab.

Funny, I have been looking at these guitars and always said if I found one cheap enough I would pull the trigger. Glad someone had more brains that me. This was a great guy.

What a great deal...never saw it, kinda glad I didn't, as I wouldn't have been able to bid anyway.

Norse(...Congrats bro, but I think your golf game probably just took another hit...unless you have room in your caddy bag to tote your 1537 with you to the golfcourse, cause something tells me she won't be getting set down for a while!)man1

I had a phone conversation with the seller today. Should be shipped this afternoon. Wooo hooooo. With the 1769 ready to be shipped off and the breadwinner in pieces I am left with only my 1117. Well I guess thats not too bad. ;)

The tracking info says due for delivery today. However, the low here in the deep south was 27 this morning so I do not think it wise to open the guitar upon arrival. The thread about sub freezing temps has me paranoid. Any tips or suggestions to minimize risk? The guitar has already had one crack repaired at the factory so I would rather not have another. Thanks in advance for any advice.

When it arrives bring it inside and let it sit unopened for 24 hours. It will gradually warm up and should be fine.

Stand outside until your lips are blue. Then you can come in, open and hold the 1537, and warm up together and evenly!

I suggest using an Em chord first.
