ONLY $25 EACH!?! I'll take all four!

By the time anyone reads this, they will cost more...

CustomLegegend is/was an OFC'er.

My guess is that those early issues aren't repairable using the same top so they were set aside rather than be demolished and rebuilt.

Extremely cool though.

I don't dare bring any more non-working guitars into the house myself. These are very cool though.

It's been over ten years and I've married her twice. There aren't too many viable excuses left.

My only hope is when the yard, garage, music room and my side of the bedroom is free of clutter can I bring in a new entry.

Note to my fellow BFLoG'ers - look for some Luthier Parts collections going up for sale if I get time this week...

Thanks for the listing, Jason. The picture of that old Balladeer confirms it- my Ol' Faithful (1111- no suffix) neck was originally on a shinybowl. Thought as much. Probably why it is so sweet to play!
I will be tracking these offerings, with some intensity.

chris, ive let several of these slip past in the past year. i figure if i get a few months play out of this one before the top caves in its worth it just to get to spend some time with one of these old girls....then it will go to mother for a compleate restoration....jason

I think I'd take any of them, price not terribly prohibitive. Ol' Josh needs a contemporary companion.

The saddle heigth on the treble side looks a little squirrley. I wonder if there's a twist in the neck and they tried to compensate for it. It's impossible to see in the photos.

the top is sunken in a bit, you can compensate with a taller saddle, my folklore is setup the sameway for that verry same reason....jason

That explains it. The bridge on my 1612 came off when it was accidently left exposed to a heater in a pick-up truck. Had to have to have a split in the top repaired and the bridge re-installed. They did a similar thing to tweak it back into shape...

steve, heres a shot of the bridge/saddle on my 1114, the taller saddle makes up for the dip in the top....jason

Here's a tip for the not-so-faint-of-heart:
drown the soundboard for 1/2-hour, tie the critter down to the workbench, lay a rigid bar across the top, cram as many bridge clamps through the orifice as possible, cinch down on all the braces, warm it up real good with a heat gun, and let 'er dry out. Might just recontour the bridge dive real good! I have flattened tops & untwisted necks in a similar fashion. My bowl-bend method is equally odious, albeit effective.
Archimedes was probably right.......

The challenge is to have a final product worthy of a Stewmac video or a segment with Norm Abrahms.

I would be more likely to fill an episode of Tool Time.

The FCC would hang us all out, to twist in the wind.
Gotta admit, though, the idea of First Amendment is appealing......wonder if Ruth Ginsburg plays bluegrass or Delta blues.
