These are all excellent to near mint condition and while pricing has not be determined, they will be in the +/- $1500 range. If interested, send me an email and I can put you first on the list and we can work out pricing and arrangements. Pics of all can be found in my gallery. 1581 RI....mint U681T......mint 1719 30th Anniversary Lt Ed Custom Legend...bearclaw...excellent '87 collectors - sunburst...most excellent Stephen

Pricing is on the high side but the guitars are all near mint and sound & play excellent and in most ways are the cream of the ovation crop. Notice I said that I might "possibly" be selling cause sellers remorse could always kick in.....but if someone grabs some of them while I am in a selling mood, I don't think they will have one ounce of buyers remorse once they get to play it and see how "special" it is.

You told me that your game plan has always been to buy one each of everything, play 'em against each other for awhile, then keep those that you really like. It is an outstanding strategy, if a little expensive, and one that I wish I could adopt. Two of my best sounding guitars came as a result of your recommendations. On the other hand, I tend to buy some models not necessarily because they are excellent instruments, but rather because I like their looks, for variety, or because they have a certain sentimental value to me for one reason or another. At this time in my life, I just don't want to part with any of them. I don't now how you do it.

Almost every guitar I have has a story of how it came to me (1537, FD-14, 87C, 1627 RI, GC 12), or a huge sentimental vibe because of what it it (GC DB, Martin 0018 nylon), usually both, or it's just a great guitar that fills a void (Adamas I 12, 1773LX). The guitars I have sold have either been redundant, or not guitars that I was thrilled with, and only one guitar that I sold have a really, in major way, regretted (with offers to buy it back). If I were really smart, by the end of the year I'd only own the OFC guitar, the 1627 RI, Big Blue, and the 1773LX. But I don't think I'm even close to being that smart. Oh, and then there are the two electrics that I don't really play, the GFKAV and the Preacher 12. The former will get sold later this year (or parts of it will, as I build something new), but the Preacher 12, if I were smart (again, I'm not), I would sell. But I just love holding it and playing it unplugged at home......

Yes, sometimes we try to double up, or pick up a new one before getting rid of the old one. But how's that usually work out? Yeah, not real well. And do we ever ditch a girlfriend for one that's worse? Of course not. We always work our way "up" the scale - tighter body, more fun, blah, blah, blah ... right? Trust me, I know what I'm talking about. Dave

Tupps wife is already at "the top of the scale" and therefore knows she will never be replaced. It's #2 on down that has to worry! Paul, I have lost too many things dear to me over the years to become overly sentimental about material things.....they can be replaced easily enough with time and/or money. Guitars are tools....they bring me great joy, relaxation, meditation, conversation and inspiration....but they can't replace friends or family. They are just tools ....and while I have my favorites and may feel sorrow for a short period after I sell one of the beauties off, it is a fleeting moment that fades over time and is replaced by something equally new and exciting. Isn't that what makes this hobby/obsession so much fun!
