Mine served as my primary gigging guitar for 20 years and still plays and sounds great, so I am particularly sentimental about this model. Could be the flash, but the finish looks a bit lighter than most. Nonetheless, I may have to watch this one.

Ovation made a reissue a few years ago (you can read about it on my website). I dubbed it the JL3 (John Lennon Legend Limited). The one on ebay is the original model.

As to the action being high, the pics show that the saddle is pretty high. Pull out a shim or two and it should be perfect. With money down on the OFC'er, my guitar buying is going to be very very limited for the next year or so.

About your Taylor, well I'm pretty sure it would blow away any of my ovations. But I've got a few wood boxes that I'd love to A/B against it (he he). Thanks Dave for the Heads Up on this...BTW, the offer still goes about my Taylors...you're welcome anytime! Blessings! Dave
