But another member told me "Dave, wait until you see it in person, it's beautiful". He was right. As of a few days ago I am completely sold on this color. It is really amazing. The black inner part has the usual gold speckles, but somehow the brown outer part has little black speckles. Really nice. Dave

The red-reverse seems to be the second most popular. It's screaming hot! The brown and beige-reverse are rare, subtle colors. The black although not bad at all, too neutral.

I picked it up cheap as a possible adoption. There's a whole bunch of other cool stuff about this guitar that I'll go into in another thread when I get time. This guitar looks, plays and sound like a dream. Far exceeded my expectations. I hope someone here on the OFC gets the one on ebay. They will love it. Trying to show the black speckle on the outer brown part. Looks really neat.

The paint chips off and what is left is the bare fiber top, which is black. I don't think that's primer Tony, butr I could be wrong. On mine, I was able to touch it up using nail polish. The woman at the cosmetics department looked at me kind of funny when I brought in my guitar and asked her for some similar shades of blue so I could paint my toe nails to match. Dave

You can see it in my photos above. These speckles are maybe 0.2 mm in size. The chips I was referring to are a lot larger, maybe 5 to 10 mm in size. Dave

The Green is still yucky (my Irish heritage withstanding) but I only see that on a couple of Celebrity's that keep appearing, and not being bought, on the Baaa. So Bill where's your signature?

How come that these colours are so rare? Is it the bad taste of the americans? :D Did they scream for those fancy disco and baby (-2 and -8) stuff? Why didn't you do something against it? ;) Best regards, Kurt

This was one of the special treats I found with this guitar. And the fact that it's in NEW condition. I mean not a SPOT on it. I really got lucky on this on. Sorry to derail the auction on ebay. Somebody should go buy it. It's a great guitar, and NICE LOOKING! Dave

I actually kind of like the way it looks in your pics...in an "against the grain" kind of way. {Sharp, clear images of poo-burst Adamas removed} Being relatively new to the world of Adamii, other than the carved headstock and bridge, is there any difference between the 1687 and the 1681? Looking at the pics, I'd guess not, but I have no idea about the bracing or whatnot. The one in the auction is a great looking guitar, but having already violated the "no new guitars" promise (hey, it took six months, OK?!) it won't be coming here. ;)

Or, uh, maybe not. :o Thanks for taking the time to give me the rundown.
