A few months ago we exchanged emails both claiming how our Martin OM guitars were each the favorites in our stables. These really are amazing instruments. Ironically Moody emailed me this weekend about an OM he had heard at his jam last Friday. Similarly positive comments. The OM is very much "ovation like" in it's size. It just feels "right" to hold. I don't know about all of them, but the neck on mine is just about the best feeling neck I have every played. Damn if it ain't 1-3/4 wide and gloss finished. Good luck with the sale Serge. You know I'd be all over this if I wasn't already an OM owner. Dave

If you are gonna charge thousands of dollars for a guitar, have some class! Don't think that I am one of those Bling-Lovers or anything. I were jeans to church. (Clean Jeans, but just Jeans... Rustlers) But without being ostentatious, they coulda gave some shape to the thing! And what is "Grained Pearloid" anyway

These are great guitars and if you feel the need to buy an all wood box guitar, this would be a good one. Tup, you love yours so much that I'm going to start calling you Perry......

Going back and forth between an Ovation and a full dread you do notice the difference, but between an Ovation and an OM it's pretty much seamless. The only thing you'll notice is that the OM doesn't slip off your knee. RELAX - THAT WAS A JOKE! Dave

It's basically the opposite of those rough pads that attach to your bowl and make an ovation not slip off your knee. SLICK-BOX is a teflon slip pad that you attach to the lower waist of any wooden box guitar (Martin, Taylor, etc). It allows the guitar to slip off your knee so that you can enjoy the feel of an ovation, while still maintaining the benfits of your favorite wooden box guitar sound. Don't shoot me, I'm just telling you what he's up to. String-Tubes, Hatch Door Paint, and now Slick-Box. Dave

I went down to visit him after seeing his cool screen name, his Ovation Gallery and all his great Ovation collectables. I walk in and the first thing he hands me is a Martin Norman Blake. What's up with that? Wasn't that the guy who shot his wife in his car and got away with it? Why would I want to play that, when there's all these cool Adamas and Ovations sitting around? Talk about a misnomer. I guess Standing Martin wouldn't have made any sense.
