Ok everyone. A few posts lately about "songs". Here's another. I was thinking while listening to the Radio about the WORST song ever by an Established (Not 1 hit wonder)Rock or Pop Rock group or Solo act. My vote goes to Benny and the Jets by Elton John. Damn, I hate that song!!! :(

Aw Jeff, that falls under REALLY Bad cover songs...

"Achy Breaky Heart" by Billy Ray Cyrus was an Original piece of pseudo-country-cow-flop.

Tiny Tim was just goofin' on people (He doesn't really talk like that), But Cyrus was serious!

I used to be a waitress, and in one place I worked, there was a waitress who would walk up behind me when it was busy and sing lines from the worst songs she could think of, to get them stuck in my head. She was a cool person and funny as hell, but it usually worked. Many an evening, I'd have that stupid dead tree song by Bobby Goldsboro ("Honey") going around and around my brain. I don't consider him a ONE hit wonder, because later he came out with the equally terrible "Watching Scotty Grow". I am still friends with this woman, but now that I think about it, I wonder why.

Ignoring the 'no one hit wonder' criteria: "Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road" (Loudon Wainwright III).
