Great stuff, Randy! And I don't think there's anything wrong with a pre-sale teaser. Nothing like giving everybody a taste of the talent they're going to be hearing.

some of the quick hammer-ons remind me of a mosquito buzzin' close to my ears.

Very nice. That tune would go great in a Bruce Brown film. I wish I could play like that.

It's off the album "Cal" which was the theme music for the movie of the same name about a Catholic in Northern Island who falls in love with a Protestant woman at the same time as his mates get him involved in IRA activities. Great music by Knopfler which sets a mood for this movie, similar to the way he did for "Local Hero" which is my all time favourite movie.

Like the other songs you've shared Randy, very nice! Great first single from the OFC CD!

Couple of questions...

Which guitar were you using on that track?
And you may have mentioned this in another thread but, what's your recording setup?

hi steve,
in the window that opens for the sound clip, there is a link, "full song info". if you click on that you will see the info i have included which covers the questions you asked. short story: i am playing the 1978 adamas 1 1687-9 i recently got on eBay. plugged into my zoom a2.1u pedal on bank B / patch 0 / default settings. the audio was captured via usb from the pedal using roxio's easy media creator v.9

(i'm having a few issues with the lexicon omega unit and have not been able to use it yet. i visited their support site and found numerous folks having the same problems. class-action lawsuit may be forthcoming.)

Thanks Randy. I just checked out the full song info. Looks like you're doing really well on the charts on Soundclick, #33 out of 103,302 songs listed in acoustic!

Looks like lots of people are digging your tune! Now if each of them buys an OFC CD...

thanks again, everybody. the song is #5 in the acoustic general category on "soundclick" and i've got a copy en route to washington dc.
i've uploaded the full version also.
i've got delusions of grandeur after bobbo's comment about movie soundtracks...

It just pisses me off that you play so well, come up with great recordings of great tunes, and are so good looking to boot! Damn you.
