Joined: September 2007 Posts: 17 Location: CT | Up for sale is a very pretty Ovation LX SERIES Standard Elite-Model 6778 LX, in excellent condition. I’d like to get $700 for it. With OHSC and paperwork. Here are a few pictures: http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k130/Vancat/Ovation1.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k130/Vancat/soundhole1.jpg I can take more photos if anyone is interested in it. I bought this as a second guitar. I have discovered I’m not real fond of the round back. I had it set up when I bought it this last spring. It’s a super easy player, and sounds great (even better plugged in). Selling it in order to help fund another guitar purchase. LX SERIES Standard Elite-Model 6778 SPECS: 6-String Acoustic/Electric with built-in tuner Body Type: Mid-Depth Bowl Top: A Grade Solid Sitka Spruce Bracing: Scalloped LX Scale Length: 25 1/4" Fretboard: Bound Rosewood Fret Inlay: Dots and Diamonds Bridge: Rosewood Rosette: Inlaid Epaulets Pickup: Original Patented Pickups Nutwidth: 1 11/16" Machines: Chrome Let me know guys, if my price is way off. I did pay $750 for it just last spring. I do need to keep this guitar until Nov 10 (gig). Located in CT. I have not sold here before but I have on the UMGF (Unofficial Martin Guitar Forum) where I go by Vancat2. Thanks! penny

I don't think the price is that far off, it's just that there seems to be a lot of Elite LX's on the market right now. I would try eBay, it's unusual enough that you could get some interest. How can you live in CT and not like roundbacks? :D

Although I just heard Kaman sold their music division to Fender. Yeah, you know I couldn't find a trace of one like it on their website...precisely why I liked it (the single eppy). There's just this Larrivee that I am totally GASsing for, and I'm trying to fund it. My main gee-tar is a Martin 000C-16RGTE. I figured the Ovation site would be the best place to put it up...I'm not too thrilled with eBay.

Which I like despite some saying it is boring. Looks like victorlitz is selling a couple of brand new ones for $825, and several used on eBay for about what you're asking.

I just recently sold a Legend 1777LX for a significant discount. You (and I) just picked the wrong time of year to sell. Hopefully the market will turn around as Christmas is approaching. Hopefully.

I played an Elite T (again) at GC yesterday. This looks like everything I want in the Elite T, with better looks. Good luck.
