In some cases it is less than my total cost of getting it to where it needed to be (e.g. I replaced the Optima in the 1994 Collector but have not included the full costs of that as that was an EBay gotcha/lesson learned). Working on a number of the offers and communications and I am looking to get photo's up in the Member Gallery this afternoon.

But looking at your Grand Sale, it is truly mouth-watering, to say the least. Which of the 6 string guitars is the most acoustic (warm, mellow, volume and projection) sounding without plugging it into an amp? I might just buy another one, if it is available. Thanks and good luck on the sale! Simon Kim

I only really play acousticly and I love them all for their acoustic characteristics despite the fine electronics. Stuart: I was just telling another OFC member that my guitar buying days were over. Thanks and good luck on the sale! Simon Kim They all have very distinctive tones to them. the 1994 Collectors is quite "woody sounding" in keeping with it's styling; the 2005 is very "crisp"; the 2006 is very dark toned due to the koa, even toned but almost muted in the treble/but not really...difficult to explain unless you have heard one of these; the Book Elite is quite woody too, distinctive and solid. The 30th Anniversary Custom legend is very evenly balanced tone; The 1619 is a boomer for sure but nice balanced tone again. Then of course there is the UTE which I have up in a seperate posting which is a whole other story all over again :-) Sorry. I can't pick a best, it would be like saying which of your children do you love the most...well it depends which day it is of course LOL!!! That's the hard thing to explain to people who don't have a lot of Ovation/Adamas to play is communicating the nuances of the differences in sound and tone.

Joined: April 2006 Posts: 1017 Location: Budd Lake, NJ | The only positive side to the bursitis in my right shoulder is that it has saved me a ton of money over the last two years; all these beautiful guitars, and I can only look...and drool. (I will console myself with the thought that there is only one Gertrude, and I have her.) I am no longer in the market, Brad--but I'm glad that what I wanted is staying in the family. (What I'm really jonesin' to get is that wonderful cobalty-turquoise Q from the other thread, but the V neck isn't the right size for my small hands--very, very uncomfortable to play; I really drooled over that one, though--just about shorted out my keyboard.) --Karen

Never realized that I would be owning two Ovations when I started to look into Ovation guitars early this year. Now that I have two, I am back on the market for the third one. Now I can see how so many of you have a large inventory of these beauties.
