don't make them biscuits sale.....

well now that you are here..check out my guitars for sale.
how about this plane tag,

I will include the prototype adamas as well. adamas xswa extra shallow wood adamas...one of one prototype. A shallow body 1537 if you will, a heck of a player, played by MR. Kaman himself I would think. (not the youngster either ;) )

Only issue is there are some finish cracks on surface, not into wood. really sucks they are there, but...guitar still is a sweet player, as expected more so plugged in. Never thought I would sell this guitar. ( But I passed a lot 'I thought I would never's')... $1750 shipped in Conusa, paypal or us postal money order. Excellent shape brown ovation case included. More pics available also...

Now I also have a 1658 slothead for sale. A great , great playing 12 string...one knob on top of another electronics. I bought this 12 here on ofc, had it refinished at factory (and set up, new rossette, new bridge , etc). You can still see the original finish crack kind of, but the finish shines like a mirror over it. ( over all condition is better then good, the knockdowns are.... finish cracks on soundboard-very hard to see in pics-they are next to treble rossette-plus small one near neck, frets have good life, but are not brand new and there is a small finish crack on neck back-only in finish not even remotely into wood- and stable has not grown). With the $450 refinish, I am so losing money on this, but the karma of making her pretty again-is in my favor (i hope).

I am asking $835 shipped and paypalled. Hard shell case included.

I also have a custom legend 1719-cm 30 , if it's not mint i don't know what to call it. I am asking $1270 shipped and paypalled- (stuart's is cheaper BTW and looks just as nice-maybe him and hers???-hers and his also works!!)

Are you still reading? dude , you have a worse problem then me.... ok please don't forget I have a Takamine 417s for sale. Limited to 60 guitars (not 60 and we will just keep on building them- I mean 60!!)
This is a new yorker size. It is slightly smaller then a dread. More like a larger parlour size?? It projects sounds that are richer and fuller then you would think possible.
The little brother to the TAk 75s, and far cheaper.. SOLID KOA SIDES AND BACK, BEARCLAW TOP, LINE DRIVER (input is strap connector-electronics are all inside-out of sight). $1565 shipped and paypaled-I stupidly sent in a low ball offer on ebay and won this guitar-(yes I am an idiot sometimes if not more). It is essentially brand new, at a used price. Clear true tone, woody tambre, easy playing, electronics are the bomb-100% transparent.

hey if I say i woould sell my CEO-5 would you have any interest?? How about my cp thornton??

thanks for looking-once they are gone-they are gone for good....

sorry , I should clarify, on the adamas prototype, overall condition is excellent, frets look like they have hardly ever been played.

on the 1658 , the finish cracks are under the new finish, still visible from specific angles.

Not the youngster? QQF? The old man never saw this guitar.

October 13th 1982, and there were two protos finished that day, this was the second. The easy way to spot the protos and real early Elites is that they have Adamas 2 bridges.

The rest of that is a North Carolina address isn't it? 201 Riverside Drive, Morganton NC. Great place left there in 85.

darn Mauvais, my version was more dramatic...

No, sorry about that, seemed like a good story when the seller told it to me. But Thanks for the info-Me Bad(lesson is just ask here first-doh).

Actually , your memory is righteous. I have a hard time finding my house if the car doesn't just drive itself there.

I should tell the story how John Landgraff corrected me on one of his pedals..or not.
peace , mike

Try it sober, Mike. I found my house once but lost my car. Found it when the cops called and it was blocking the street in front of a friend's house. I remembered to lock the car, but forgot to put it in park and then forgot that I'd driven it. Good thing I wasn't driving it, or I'd have had a DUI.

I didn't then, but I was a good speller. Try "counsel". I think it's short for counsellor.

I have played Mike's 1537 SSB and it sounds and plays REALLY REALLY NICE!

This will be both a great player but also a great collectors piece. Someone should grab this one.

Only 1 chance in 2 you will ever have a chance to own one.

Just so you all know, I always drive sober, where would I be without my license (no not driving licenseless either-I guess taking the bus :) )

Mike, how did you ever end up with that SS 1537?
Trader J, it all started when I checked out the ovation website in fall 2004 and I noticed the 4 adamas anniversary models. Which put me in contact with Al and OFC. They were all I wanted, to bad they took so long to come out and I seemed to buy every guitar under the sun before they did. It just hasn't been the same since. I guess the shorter answer is ebay.
Has anyone ever noticed there is a category for 'other' in the ebay listings. that is an interesting category for sure.

on topic, the adamas is sweet sounding acoustically and plugged in. The finish cracks are visible from certain angles, but not all angles as the pics show. rare as rare can be...thanks mike

Seriously!

Somebody needs to seriously (with spousal concent) kidnap Beal, take pictures of his guitars and post them - then sit him down and write another book.

That way Alpep can publish his book titled "That's not the Way I heard it!"

Followed by Kim Kellers "Memiors" (sp) and "The Official OFC Dictionary and Spellchuck".

Just need somebody to come and take pictures, and then post them in the members section. I've been gathering all the children recently so they'll be here soon. But these are just the ones that are here now, so many got away over the years.
Did anyone grab this SS yet?
I've still got the high bid on the wideneck but there's time still left.

I don't remember exactly when.
Look at it this way, Moosup is where all these were built and the Adamas started in 76, stopped in 77 and restarted at the end of 77 to start of 78. Moosup was closed in 83. So all this cool stuff was made in that 5 year period, 78-83, and with the Brilliant, Genius method of prototype serial numbers, you can tell exactly when the guitar was finished.

My GCSSB Adamas was from '81, Mike's GCSSB Adamas from '82, so yes, pretty close.
