Al, I am assuming that since the title says Adamas, that this will be the first ever collectors.

Sounds good...put me down!

Reservation placed. Given everything that's going on this'll either be 1) the first of a new era, or 2) last of the mohecians. Either way it'll be a very special instrument. Single sided epaulet models just HONK, and coupled with a slotted headstock and contour bowl this could very well be the best of the best. Nice work bringing this foreward as a little "Xmas whistle wetter", Al. THANKS!

Very nice.
It's like they almost read my mind.
And it's easy to see that they do read this board.

Well, I just thought you'd like to see what Leslie (Vision) and I were able to get for the holidays: hers (006 of 100) was delivered two days ago and mine (007 of 100) will be here on Tuesday:

Here's Mine: MusicMikes 08 Collector

Here's Leslie's: Visions\'s 08 Colletor

I'll do a full write up and pic's next Tuesday but I can say these are really sweet! Lite weight and great sound!

This is only part of my Holiday news: more to come!

Great, and thanks for the early pics. Is it also available with the 1 7/8" neck? That would be cool!

Right time and right place: I'd call Al asap! Al, I was waiting to share this and looks like the timing is just right! I wanted a match for the 1688 (and decided to not go with a 1687...) and whoa....is this the cats meow or not?
Let me say again: CALL AL! CALL AL! CALL AL!!!

:D ;)

Karl, I wondered the same thing.

I would definitely be up for a wide neck if available but WOW...what a beauty. The guys at the mothership really outdid themselves this time.

Al, you might as well start checking on a 12 string custom version.

Beautiful guitar. If I hadn't spent the money on the OFC'er, I'd be buying this.

Mike, how did you get one before Al even announced it?

I find it interesting that 1.) Ovation is bringing back the old style Adamas, 2.) that they are charging real money for them, and 3.) they are only building 100 of these collectors (vs. about 700-1000 for other years). This is going to be a REAL collectors edition.....

It's a very nice model and I really like the black and gold top binding.

1. Right Living...
or
2. Won Lottery...
or
3. Angels watching over me...

Answer: #3 (Hint-Always Choose 3.)
Seriously!

This had to be meant to be as the guitar fund was depleated on Wednesday when I heard about it and I sold three guitars in 24 hours to be able to get it! I love it when a plan comes together!
