Oh yeah. I'm not a huge fan of the sunburst, but if the guitar's in good shape, you stole it!

Nice. I was watching that one and it was one of those that I almost bid on because the deal would have been good enough for me to overcome SWMBO's wrath.
Any chance you can arrange for shipping via Boise? She might agree if I said I had to hand deliver it to Hawaii.

Mine gets played more than any other electric I have. Very underrated guitar. You'll like it!

The black one right behind it was only $213 with a few minutes left, but bounced up to $325. I don't know how you sneaked by with the one you got, Randy. It looked a lot nicer.

And here comes the next one!

And I was watching all of these (for recreation, and to boost the seller's hopes).
Last week, it was cheap Elite T's...
Today it's Viper's...
And I missed them all!

Good Score Randy!

Yeah... Lanaki got his before the evening rush.
By the time I thought about bidding on the charcoal one, it was outta my reach.
And this one has gone up $100 since I posted the photo....

(but that may be my fault... I can't identify the names no more! :p )

To me, the price looks about right on that Natural Viper. It's really pretty.

Randy, I bet you'll love it. Whenever I (or anyone) play mine, the feeling is always "this guitar feels really good".

Enjoy it Randy!

Excellent price, Randy. I was watching one last year about like that for my son and it went for about $450 as I recall. $270 for a USA made vintage guitar is a terrific price. I have a Viper III and played it a lot for the first few years. You'll love the 2-octave necks.

I was watching the black one, thought it might go cheap because of the mutilated pickguard. By the time I bid it was past my max. You just never know how an eBay auction will turn out. Randy's looks like a better deal.

Hey! ... I was bidding on that one too, but I had to go watch a baby being born. Congratulations! I really like the light colored one also. but it just went out of my steal reach.

Randy,

Of all of the solids I like the overall playability and virtuosity of the Vipers. Sunburst is difficult to match with a veneered PG but if something comes to mind drop me a line.

That Maple one that went for $570 is just screaming for a PG in Cherry or Koa!

Other than the looks, is there any reason why a maple viper would be worth twice what Randy paid for the sunburst? I happen to like the sunburst, although I'd prefer a red one, and if the sunbursts are just as good, though less popular, I'll keep looking for a deal.
