Hope it's not illegal to post a Carvin guitar here.

Carvin DC160 Electric Guitar. Made in America. Very nice condition. Action is excellent. Fretts are in great shape. Very cool stereo output. Body and neck are Rock Maple. Nut is made from brass which helps provide excellent sustain. Gold Tuners all work perfectly. This guitar has 2 Coil Taps and a Phase Switch so you'll quickly find out how much fun this guitar is. All electronics work perfectly. Comes with the original Carvin Hard Shell Case, which is in excellent condition. Serial number = 433-57.

There are some light scratches on the front and some buckle rash on the back. But they are easy to forget about because they don't show up well...probably due to the clear finish. All in all, a very nice vintage guitar that's a beautiful player. Asking $560 + 1/2 shipping to continental US. You can check out images of this guitar in my stellarjim Gallery.

Nice Carvin. wish I wasn't in the process of off-loading as well right now.. not up for any trades are you?

finally sold all the amps, at a loss.... but at least they're gone.

still have the 1613 w/op pro and with the 1537 coming home, the Nakao Elite might be looking for a new home.

Thanks Glenn. It's a nice guitar and a lot of fun. But I bought a new Carvin so this one has to go. I'm married so I understand the need to keep the herd thinned. When I have too many guitars, I can't grab a beauty when she comes along.

1 in and 1 out but SWMBO will allow me a bit of leeway. I can grab them before they have to exit....as long as they eventually exit....and dammit, she counts pretty good so there is no sneaking them past her!

Down to an actual 10 guitars here....and that counts the ones at the factory and in transit, was as many as 16 at one point... and in a mobile 16 cases and a couple spare cabs and amps and stands etc.. and you've lost half your living space.

down to 2 Roland amps(Cube Street battery and a gc405 stack w/8x5" Celestion Truvox in it and the ext cab) for the electrics, and the Shen 60 for the acoustics. all three take up less space than just one of the three amps that I just sold.

still a very nice Carvin... will have to think on it.

checking the piggybank now.

Man oh man oh man... I wish I could swing it, but alas.... :( It would go nice with my Anniversary stack.

I'm a big fan of the M22 pickups.

Thanks Lanaki. Can you play slack key on an electric?

I really like Carvin electrics. And for some strange reason, I feel they are like Ovations in the way they are probably the most under-appreciated electric on the market. But I like the American made quality. They are beautiful and they've got a ton of tone possibilities built into them (with the coil taps). A lot of fun.

I really like those double cutaway artist style bodies.. and with the sculpted set neck I'm sure it plays very well. also the electronics setup on that one is different and looks custom ordered compared to the catalog pics for the DC160 in the flamed version for those years.

I have a parts mutt at woody's in that shape(but in pieces).... sent him a plethora of parts and extra hardware, and a couple of viper bodies and a deluxe neck, when he gets time I'm sure something nice will shake out.

that's a couple of nice looking pieces of wood joined together there..

Another Non O for sale in here that is real nice. I almost bought one of those Carvin Hybrid guitars in the 12 string. Don't remember the name of them now but I liked the whole package.

Glenn, I wouldn't mind having the DC160 around for a while. If Jim needs to close the sale real quick, I'll buy it and pass it on to you. This way, you can take your time selling the 6591.

still waiting to hear from Stellarjim... but I do have a buyer for the 6591 and spare parts, and he has been waiting a long time for another Adamas that never showed up.....

I didn't take a bath on it... lost a few $$, but had fun fixing it up, and more fun playing it... I'm glad it's staying in the family..

that Carvin just screamed to me to buy it... I love the Ibanez Artists and Professionals from the same period, this is similar for less $$$ and Jim's is a '79 or '80 model.... I graduated high school in '79... seems as good a reason as any to nab it. I've played a few older Carvins and liked them.

anyway 928S is the prospective new owner of the Stealth 6591..

thanks all! where you at Jim?

Hey guys. I returned today from a visit to PA. All indications are that Glenn is the proud new owner of a vintage Carvin DC160.

All's a done deal! The 6591 is on the way to Bob(928S), and I have first refusal should he ever decide to part with it. He's having a good week! even tho the W681ta that he paid for never showed up.... his wife and brother in law just bought him the Adamas Century that was up this past week! WOW!!!

2 New Adamas Guitars in a couple weeks.. way to go Bob!!

just got off the phone with Stellarjim, and as soon as he gets his check the Carvin will be coming here.

maybe my other babies will be back from mother in time for my Birthday next month.
