1954 MG needs more work

Up for sale

1982 collectors series - very mint, has original split cables and COA. Case is in very good condition

1974 1112-4 Ovation Balladeer - never played - new as the day it was made. Beautiful guitar and has a deep mellow sound about 32 years.

1985 collectors series - was told it was mint but it has a few surface cracks on top and a small chip on headstock. Still plays wonderful.

Considering selling my 1981 Adamas II 1681-8 - has made a trip to the mother ship - new frets, fret board was lightly sanded, top was cleaned and electronics checked out - beautiful condition. Not sure if I want to sell this one but it depends on the on going and never ending cost on the MG.

If interested in any of the above - pm me with offers - I believe all of them are on my photo gallery. Help a Classic MG out LOL

Sell the MG and buy more guitars. I think I know someone who is interested in a 1681-8. I won't tell you his name, but his initials are BegginJIM. ;)

Jim - that would be the best thing to do - sell the MG - but it is now the principle of the thing - she will not beat me. LOL

I had a short fling with an MG back in the early 70's... got tired of having to stop every 30 miles and tighten everything (both me and the car).

My first car was a 1963 Austin Healey Sprite. It wasn't the "Bug-Eye" model but a mass produced MG predecessor with a whopping 948cc four-popper and multiple spare windows and tops.

My first guitar was a 1974 Custom Balladeer 1112-1 similar to yours!

I still have the guitar and it was one of my better choices!

Please email me about the 1112-4!

When I was in high school I had a 63 or 64 Sprite, think it was an 1100. Lots of fun- you felt like you were going really fast because it was so small and close to the ground. I found a gutted Bugeye and was going to make one car out of two, but ended up selling both to get an MGA. I wish I had an MGA coupe or a big Austin Healy. Instead I have my wife's Nash Metropolitan- built by Austin.

My cousin rebuilt an MGB from the ground up. It leaked constantly. I remember towing it home after it had puked all of its oil in a parking lot.

If an MG quits leaking oil.....it's out of oil.

Yep, I get concerned when I drive her and do not see oil spots on the garage floor later - MG's love to mark their territory - much like my dog.

But she is so dang pretty

That definitely is a keeper. You wouldn't have to maintain it if you just sat there looking at it. I know lots of people that do that with much more modern cars.

I dunno . . .

A chick from Bermuda who sails her own twin-masted schooner and has a discerning palette for fine rums?? . . .

(That might do it for me)

Either one (or both if you're rich enough).

Okay - I am a chick from Texas that drives a classic red convertible, loves ovation/Adamas guitar along with hand made custom guitars, believes you can never have enough guitars and loves football and basketball and doesn't mind watching them all day Sunday. :)

Now will someone buy these gutiars so I can continue to drive this classic red convertible before it breaks down again LOL

If I wasn't happily married you'd have flowers on the way right now.
