I've decided to sell my Adamas U681T-5 and Ovation 1537 in order to raise funds for something else.

I've had the UTE for a bit less than 2 years. Purchased from Al. Very light play, like new, not a mark on it. $1550.00 with case

The 1537 is spectacular! One very small chip (pencil tip) on the edge of the lower binding. Some pick haze. You won't find a better example unless it just came back from the Mothership after a refinish. No issues what so ever. VERY NICE. $1000.00 with case.

These are two of the most revered models of the OFC. You all know what these guitars look like. I'll send pics of any angle you want upon request. There will be no regrets with either of these guitars.

The Ute, the 1537 and the Fud - three classics (my three favorites anyway) and you're dropping two in one clean sweep. WhaaachooDOin', man??

The '08 Collector's...?

By the way, good luck on the sales.

Both very fair prices for very good guitars. At least I thought so when I paid the same for mine. Someone should buy both. They are totally different guitars that show Ovation's excellence at two different extremes.

Mike,

The 1537 in my gallery pics is NOT the same as the one I have now. This one is BETTER!

I'm hoping that my timing is right to hook up with the tax return season. I'm not in a hurry, but would like to close out by the first of April.

That's what I'd be in if I buy something else without cleaning house first.

Help me out guys.

Sell those two beauties for a box? You must mean "enable me".

I:
1) care too much about you, and
2) lack the dough.

:D :D :D

Cap't,

I guess I'll never 'own' a guitar. I just take care of 'em for awhile and then give someone else a chance.

(...Well maybe I'll own the FUD. Suweeet!)

I so feel for you with that one...I had only ONE guitar for 12 years, met Woody, found the OFC, and it was all over...

Now I don't own a single one that I've had for more than 18 months, and I have about a dozen altogether. What was I thinking?

Best of luck, I had my UTE offered up for just over a month with lot's of amazement that it didn't go and yet not one offer. Maybe my timing was worse doing it in the run up to Xmas.

I am still swithering whether to offer it up to the masses on the bay.

Trader Jim, I have a friend named Justin Mclendon. Good guitar player, singer songwriter. I installed a few pickups for him and setup his guitars when he was just getting started as a full time musician. I kid you not in 2007 he bought/traded between 30 to 40 guitars. Most of them were used and under $1000.00 but still a lot of trading. Maybe the only person that trades as much or more than you. I`ve got to get him into Ovations.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I've had my Matrix for 30 years and regretted selling my first two guitars to get it. I found ebay and accidentally bought a Celebrity Deluxe. Then I found this site, traded the CD for the 99, bought, bought, bought etc. The only guitars I've sold since have been guitars I specifically bought for other people and my 12 string Applause that I sold when I bought the Balladeer 12. I don't buy much that I don't keep. I have a tough time letting go. On the other hand, the only old thing my wife hasn't gotten rid of is me, and I keep expecting her to get a replacement for me soon.

Some of you know my story - needed a guitar for a working musician's tool - used and worked with the same one since 1985...#43. Have used a nylon Chet Atkins Gibson when I needed that sound ...Beal convinced me to widen my horizons a little...I did - but #43 still gets played the most...just not often enough. I collect more dust than guitars...Weird - same thing with one of my cars '74 Vert Karmann Ghia..haven't let her go either.
