That's why it looks dull. I've owned the guitar for about six years and during that time it's been played about a dozen times. It's in perfect condition. I hope that helps.

It would be pretty easy to spot as the one on the book, the grain of the top is book-matched where on all of the "production" guitars I have seen the grain runs the other way, as in parallel with the strings. Where's a guitar play'n P.I. when ya need one?

(no offense intended to those of you who may prefer ... ah ... differently) I also prefer cutaways, but that's a different argument altogether. That may be why I like the outies, 'cause I don't remember seeing any on the cutaways. (That doesn't mean they don't exist on a non-cutaway though)

Dave would probably know, since he seems to have the strongest feeling about this subject...

Like the sneetches on the beaches, I prefer the innies. Much more regal and masculine. But I'm torn between the light colored innies and the dark colored ones. Is there a meaning to their method of wood types? I wonder.

I guess you could be right about them looking a bit more feminine (not gay). If you'll notice, the standard shape of acoustic guitars is feminine (hourglass). I kinda' like the idea of having my hands all over a feminine-looking guitar vice a "masculine" model (:
