I will have some in a couple of weeks. My last batch of full-size Walnuts were pre-sold by the time they arrived. I'm having a lot more made this time, which is causing a delay as they are individually handmade in the UK, not mass-produced Chinese imports

If your Elite has Schaller machines, then yes they will fit perfectly. If it has Ping machines they will fit but will have a little play on the shaft. But lets face it, we all enoy a little play on the shaft, don't we?

Except an order soon.

Paul,

will the tortoise tuners fit Ping tuners? When you mentioned the "play" above, you have me a bit worried.

Any of the buttons, including the tortoise will fit Ping tuners, but the shaft on Pings (and Gotoh) is very slighly smaller than Schaller, so the buttons feel a little loose compared to when mounted on a Schaller M6 body. This doesn't affect the accuracy or stability of the tuning.

I put Rosewood buttons on the Opry which are Gotohs. There is a little play but just make sure you flatten the string a bit and then bring it up to pitch. Not a big deal.

I've ordered a set of the full size Ivory for the EA68,(Thanks Paul!),

so far I've removed the neck and cleared out all the glue from an amateur re-set that was previously done, and have stained the bridge with some ebony stain... next step is removing the epis, then can start taking out my aggression and frustration by removing/stripping/sanding off the polane.

looking forward to the new tuner buttons, thanks for making them available to us Paul.

Glenn

Beal,

How do you keep the flat on the same side of the string the full length of the neck? :D

What about gold buttons? My 1651 has had ebony buttons stuck on it - would like to revert back the original gold ones...

dweez ,

Put up a trade offer in this forum. You'll probably get more hits than in this thread.

Yeah, you can get the old Gold ones from the replacements.

Blues, very precise hammering on a small anvil.

Mauvais,

not too sure what you mean "from the replacements". Do you mean trade the ebonies for old gold ones?

I guess I have to wait till the Adamas arrives as the bridge has been stained black so maybe it would look better to leave the black buttons. Is there a way to unstain the bridge I wonder.
