The time has come to offer up a coupla O's to finance a new case of GAS. For your viewing pleasure, an Ovation 1778LX-5 that I purchased new in November of 2006 and a beautiful Red Viper, from Miles Collection, that was purchased last year. The pickguard on the Viper is not original, but I do have the original black PG with "VIPER" on it, that, of course, will come with the guitar. Both have original OHSC.

Please PM me for more info and pricing if interested. Thanks, Jim

How much for the grill thongs?....... :D

Great photos and great guitars.......

I've played Jimbo's red Viper and it sounded fantastic!(modesty keeps me from saying it sounded that way because I was playing it! ;) )
I think we're trying to reproduce the "Leslie effect" in the photo....

Good Luck with the sale Jimbo!

I've played both of these guitars, and I can tell you they are both in VERY nice condition. I think the LX could pass as new. That Viper looks very tempting too...

Jimbo, looking at that photo of the "before" really shows how much you've lost. (weight, that is...) :D

Is the Viper relatively lightweight? I have a nice maple/maple Viper, but I'd like to have one with an ebony fingerboard and a lighter body. There was a thread (last year?) about Viper weights but my search didn't find it.

numbfingers,

unofficial, step on the scales with it and then without it, weight of 6.8 lbs. When I purchased it from Miles, he stated that this one was one of the lightest / lighter Vipers that he had owned. At the time I thought he said it was a hair over 7 lbs. He wasn't sure why certain Vipers were lighter than others. Maybe something to do with the shaping of the bodies or the particular wood that was used.

Beggin,

Grandson. That explains everything. :D

Why do we buy them toys when there are so many other interesting things at Grampa's house.
