Location: NW Washington State | From the few mentions I've seen of the center-hole models, it seems that the Adamas fans don't like 'em. Is that just because they lack the multi soundholes and epaulets, or are they really that bad? Would this be a good guitar compared to a $700 wood-topped Ovation?

Location: Boise, Idaho | Part of the problem is that the Adamas concept was to get the thin soundboard under the strings where it did the most good. Taking the center hole out also strengthened the guitar. Putting the hole back in the center defeated the purpose of the design. |

Location: Cheyenne, Wyoming | I love my w591, and so does anyone that hears it. I don't know, maybe epaulet versions sound better, but my git sounds superior plugged in to most wood boxes out there. |

| No, he didn't lie. It's a USA guitar. There was the 6591 and the w-591 center hole Adamas models. Alpep had one for sale a few years ago. I've never seen an ebay auction where they went cheap. The almost always bring top dollar by comparison with the other discontinued models. $700 in today's money is peanuts. Well worth it for this guitar, IMHO. I think it has an Optima, but I may be wrong. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I think Damon was referring to the "Sitka spruce top." I'm guessing it has the Adamas top with a piece of birch sandwiched in the carbon graphite. I don't think they ever used spruce, Sitka or otherwise. |

If it was in Portland, I might call him/her.
Looks like it might have a color-changing type finish. Kinda maroon, kinda red.
Let's put this into perspective. I just paid around $600 for a T. And this is an Adamas.
I am an Epaulet-Snob. When I get my Adamas, I would like it to have epaulets, and be Puke-Blue or Blackish-Red.
But I own Celebrity's and stuff I won't even put in my sig...
So Numbfingers, I would get it. Scrape together the cash, then sell something else.

Anyway, I've just committed to gulfcoast's 6774 folklore...
So I'm out on the Adamas. If anyone needs my help though, I am willing since I'm close by this guy.
And NO! I don't know the guy, I'm just trying to be an enabler :D (like anyone here needs the help with that) |

| PrarieDog, Since your's is the CVT, I think the 6591 was the SMT top. Your CVT top has a rather exotic look to it. I've seen some 6591's, and the top appeared smoother by comparison. Now, the question is which has the better response! :) |

Location: Central Massachusetts | CVT = woven fibre top, SMT = uni-directional carbon fibre, beyond that, I'm not sure, other than I've played a W598 (CVT) and it was wonderful. |

| I'm still learing the differences in the Adamas tops. I was told once there 5 basic carbon-fibre/birch wood configurations. You could probably search the fan club website for the specifics. |
