3:

One, to ask how...
Two, to offer pics of step-by-step instructions...
Three, for Waskel to explain how to post the pics...

Technically, you should have a Residential Electrician's License to change a Lamp (light bulb).

Doesn't it depend on whether it's incandescent or compact florescent?

How many forum members does it takes to change a light bulb?

The answer is three....

One to change the bulb, one to hold the ladder, and one to call Templeman and ask him how to do it.

I thought it was 10. One to put it in crooked so it doesn't work, and 9 to tell him what a great job he did. Oh wait, that's open mike.

1 to post which shape of bulb provides the best light.

4 to argue that others shapes are better.

7 to post which wattage is better.

1 to ask Trader Jim how many different light bulbs he has changed,(He Is an electrical guy).

You forgot:

5 posts to remind everyone to use energy efficient bulbs
3 geek posts discussing how much energy you will use - or save - by using said efficient bulbs
1 post to explain how to figure out wattage of all bulbs in the house
2 posts to remind everyone that wattage is also used in the measurement of guitar amplifiers, thus making this thread even more relevant.
3 posts by people who like to play in the dark and 'aren't into light'
2 posts by old guys who still can't read the freakin instructions for adjusting a neck no matter how good the light is.
17 posts listing other 'how many (fill in the blanks) does it take to screw in a lightbulb' jokes
1 post from Billy Gibbons thanking the forum for giving him the idea of having Fender Custom shop install lightbulbs in the body of his next Strat.
2 posts reminding everyone of the cosmic relevance of lightbulbs to musicians because Pink Floyd once had an album cover showing a guy covered in lightbulbs.
5 posts from guys offering deals on lightbulbs to forum members only, and today only
4 posts from people who explain that, by turning lightbulbs a certain way you can see imperfections in Ovation guitars and/or more accurately adjust them.
2 posts from guys who had installed cool backlights into their guitars, which matched the blue lights under their Fast n Furious cars
9 posts from lefthanders to complain that lightbulbs should screw in the other way
1 post complaining that lightbulb screwer-inners are racist and that more black lights should be used.

etc., etc., etc.

Has no one thought that perhaps the light bulb feels fine the way it is and doesn't want to change?

So, to quote an old choir joke...

Q: How many sopranos does it take to change a light bulb?

A: Three - one to change the bulb, the other two to kick the stool out from underneath her...

Q: How many basses does it take to change a light bulb?

A: Four - one to change the bulb, the others to sit back and say, "I could have done that."

And for good measure...

Q: Why do orchestras only take a 20 minute break between rehearsal and performance?

A: So they don't have to re-train the drummers...

Q: How many bass player to change a light bulb?
A: None. The piano player can do it with his left hand.

....or even anything. :p
