If you need a pic just look at my myspace page myspace/lostartvintage. basically #47 specs but with electronics. My color is more like the early 2 knob non slotheads than the slothead blue. this was later corrected on 2-12. label signed by CWKII and myself letter of authenticity. carbon fiber case etc etc etc. this was the first guitar they built and although all of them are stellar guitars they really took great pains in making this one perfect for me. e me with offers. do not insult me or low ball me. You will probably never see ovation build these guitars again

I never felt worthy of being one of the apostles, but I'm not giving up #11 if I can possibly help it. I've only had one new car in my life and the OFC guitar was almost as special. In some respects it is much more special. Cars depreciate.

I'm not even sure they are capable of making these anymore if they wanted to. Besides that 1/12 is unique, even among the 12. My guess is that this opportunity to buy one of 12 very unique guitars is not going to be coming around again any time soon..... I think over time the only more desirable/collectible guitar, would be an Original slot-head prototype.

But more importantly, it's the OFC guitar. Since I obviously don't have a life, this place has become my local "pub". That guitar represents all the best of it. And, it is a great guitar.....

But to get back to the topic, I hope either Al's OFC guitar (ding) goes to a great home or that he decides to keep it. It's a whole lot more than the sum of it's parts....

Joined: March 2005 Posts: 12759 Location: Boise, Idaho | Thanks, Paul. Now I can forgive my wife for refusing to buy my neighbor's 77 Legend and getting me the OFC instead. Waiting 5 years proved worthwhile. Although one of the 12 LAV Koas was resold, this is the first resale of an OFC as far as we know. It makes some sense for Al to sell it, since he is a guitar dealer, but it is a special guitar that should be kept in the family forever. Maybe someday someone will be trying to track down all 12 of these like the original slotheads.

It'll never happen again, or if it does, the price will be 2 or 3X what it was. Mine has already achieved status of family heirloom. Good thing I have decendents who play.
