This 1537 is rare for it’s condition (no surface cracks anywhere) and it’s color. The tobacco burst is difficult to find and really makes the guitar look like a spectacular antique. Several people have told me it was the most beautiful guitar they’ve ever seen! Very nice compliments to be sure. You know the 1537's sound fabulous but don't forget they also come with a stereo output that makes them extra fun. This guitar is not perfect…there are 2 tiny dings in the front but they are nearly too small to photograph. There is a small area on the back where the paint has flaked off (see picture) but this is not very noticeable as you will see. This particular guitar was built in Connecticut in 1984 (serial number 302986). Brown Ovation hardshell case is included. It’s in good condition but has the usual scuff marks. All latches and hinges work perfectly and the interior is in great shape. I took the opportunity to play this guitar side by side with my 07 Collectors (also a very nice guitar). The 1537 is louder and, I think, a little bit richer sounding so in a strange way, I was a little disappointed. I attribute this to the fact that the 07 is a cutaway. The frets have been professionally leveled and re-crowned. They are in very nice condition. A few pics are shown below and several more are in my gallery. Asking $1050 + ½ Shipping. Comes with a 24 hour return policy (you pay shipping). Several members have purchased guitars from me and I’m sure they’ll vouch for my honesty (if I pay them enough) and quick shipment. Thanks.

Should the pictures show up in the "Preview Post"? I think I'm in trouble again. My Right Click on the full size image does not offer a "Copy Image Location" option.

Joined: March 2005 Posts: 12761 Location: Boise, Idaho | tdeej was supposed to bring it to Miles, with a few of his others, but we never heard from him. That would have been a nice representation of the Idaho Ovations, since I didn't bring anything. Just like yours, Damon, but with a cutaway. Maybe he figured that since you are a notorious guitar thief, he better not come.
