I've been raving about this model for the last 2 years and those who have one know how good they really are. This one is a STEAL !!! I don't know the seller and I'm not trying to promote it, just trying to bring this beauty into the OFC if at all possible. 1627 GLEN CAMPBELL REISSUE You KNOW that I would buy this in a heartbeat if I didn't already have that base covered. It's loud, bold, crisp, clear, and it RINGS like freaking Big Ben on steroids. For anyone roughly my age, who first fell in love with Ovation in the early 70's you'll hear this guitar and immediately say "Ah, THAT's the sound I used to love ..." Dave

Don't you think the factory would have repaired that while FRGing it? (hey, did I just make up a new phrase, like PUassy)

(plus there is no Mahogany strip sandwiched between the two Maple strips) The stripe is not centered evenly between the tuners...... ![]()

Look at the centerline from the point of the truss rod.... I've always been impressed by the way that Ovation precisely centers the tuners on the stripe....this one is definitely off!(Even the serial # and USA is off center!)

Joined: March 2002 Posts: 15680 Location: SoCal | It's still a 3 piece center strip. It looks like 3 pieces of maple with the center piece at a 90 degree angle. I don't know why, but the only tuner that looks off is the A string tuner, and it looks spot on from the front..... Anybody going to buy this guitar?
