He kept her CS247 over the summer and now is using my Custom Balladeer. She's been outbid a few times on ebay, so things aren't looking too good and I might have to make her a deal on my Balladeer. Anyway, if anyone has one in reasonable shape that you want to get rid of cheap, let me know.

With all due respect (I normally don't say that to lawyers or porsche owners) you're signature line is like the whos-who of desirable Ovation models. I think cutting her a deal on the Custom Balladeer would be a noble and fatherly thing to do. She's never gonna find anything close to it for a hundred bucks. In your elder years, SHE will be the one making your decisions for you. SHE will pick out the nursing home. SHE will choose if and when she visits. SHE will be dispersing your guitar collection and any other assets. Don't fuck it up now over $100. Just my point of view (but I'm usually right). Dave

He's a nice kid, but might not be around next year, much less when she's picking out the nursing home. As I told my older daughter, sleeping with you doesn't score any points for him in my book. At least this one is a guitar player instead of a drummer. Stephen, it doesn't have to plug in. He's got an electric and preferred the Custom Balladeer with the supershallow bowl to everything except the OFC. I think he just liked the fact that I have it set up to play like an electric.

Or better yet ('cause it badly needs it from the pics I've seen of your cars and guitars), make her cut the grass at least once every two weeks for the next year (more often than it's cut now).....

Good ideas, Paul, but I didn't pay that much for the CB and flying her here from Portland every two weeks to mow the lawn and wash the cars would be a little expensive. I think that was only 6 day's growth, anyway.

The best I could do fer ya is a CC57 w/a beat up but serviceable case. I have $135 into it. It was a local buy, so shipping would be extra. I don't even remember what shape it's in as it's been in storage for quite a while. If you're interested LMK. I won't be able to get to it for a few days. Good luck in your quest...

Just played 'em awhile, then passed 'em on... Now, you'd be lucky to find a case for $100. [Oh yeah, I bought two guitars just to get the cases, each for less than $100]

Apparently that private university their parents are paying for has taught them to be frugal. That's fine with me. Actually, she learned to be stingy from me. I think we'll be going with bpb's Matrix and see if he and the guitar are still around in 30 years.
