The 1537 had a top crack and eppie damage when I bought it, so it made the trip to the MS. They removed the old eppies, bridge, and top finish, repaired the crack, reapplied the clear finish with new eppies. You can still see where the crack was, but they did their usual magic and it's not too easy to pick out. It still has the original top so the great sound the 1537 is known for is still there. The beauty on the right is a 1768. Much like the 1537 with a cutaway. Deep bowl with OP24 preamp and cream binding. Beautiful sound also, very close to the 1537. Will sell both for $1300.00 plus shipping. Would like to keep these around, and if no bites, they will stay, they just don't get played enough.

I still can't believe how good it sounds and how LOUD it is unplugged, AMAZING!! I'm still waiting for you to part with that one. I guess it's not happening, eh? We were practicing the other day, I was playing the 12 string and my buddy says "Hey Bob turn down your volume I said: "what do you mean?? Do you see a cord anywhere"?? He was shocked I was't plugged in!!! :D
