Joined: February 2004 Posts: 2487 | Letting go one of the nicest guitars ever made. Al ordered this custom Adamas 1 last year for me and I reluctantly am going to let it go. I tried to load photo's to the new site but this was to much hassle trying to load newer and then older versions of Java to bother with anymore. Just email me and I will send along a photo if your actually interested in buying this. This Baritone Guitar is an Adamas 1 Cutaway, in the #2 red. Has the new Studio Electronics (which in my opinion are the best Ovation has made to date) Also has the contour body which also is a great inovation and has helped my stage work. I also had Ovation build the neck just 1/16th of an inch wider at the nut to accomdate the larger strings and this guitar is a pleasure to play and admire. The bass is booming and plugged in it can rattle the 15's in the PA system like a bass guitar. These Baritones are very very rare and I would say this one with the extras I ordered makes it the only one of it's kind. Now It's not cheap, but it is the best Ovation makes and the guy's in the custom shop outdid themselves once again. If you want to own and play the best Ovation Acoustic guitar made this is it. I am looking for a nice Adamas 12 string cutaway, similiar to the one Vision is selling in another thread. So I would be willing to work out a trade/cash deal for the right guitar. I just can't keep so many super expensive guitars and I will once again be selling a great guitar that I will most likly never be able to afford to buy again. Don't wait if you can afford this, I'd like to see this stay with this group but I have had offers locally already and I do need to sell and I might change my mind alltogether about selling it I have enough time to think about this. rldecker@frontiernet.net

I need to sell it but it will not be cheap........ as it is what it is. I did manage to load a good photo of this on the new web site. If anyone interested is not at all familiar with how much it costs to have a custom made adamas 1 from the factory you might not want to know the price. Believe me Al I have lost sleep making this decision. You did a hell of a job getting this for me. Randy

Joined: February 2004 Posts: 2487 | Sorry I was still sending those Joe Cocker clips around........... I bought a set of 16's with a 70 top string. They are a coated string. GHS I think. The ones from the factory were fine but a little light gauge for me. Could go even heavy'r the Dave Mathew's stuff is way down there and this guitar can handle more. What a bottom end on this thing. Playing Ohio sounds like the whole band. Randy

I know my and Beals 2080D's are both sonic monsters and my 12 string version is like a mini-earthquake. Since the factory may or may not ever make these again, this might be one of the last Adamas long necks ever made.

Joined: February 2004 Posts: 2487 | This is still for sale, I did have another offer recently. I am also still in need of a good Ovation 12 string and will take this in partial trade to help with the cost. But these are as rare as they come and I do not plan to negotiate the price very much. Thanks for the interest guy's, this does not belong on Ebay. Randy

Joined: February 2004 Posts: 2487 | Still available. Am seriously looking for a good Adamas #1,or #2 I prefer a cutaway, but not needed for the right guitar. So far I have had three offers but with two of them, the 12 strings offered were just way to nice and priced so high it would be more like an even trade. This guitar is certainly one of the most unique Adamas's made, and I would like to see it remain amoungst this group. So if you have a 12 string with a value of (up to &) no more than $1,500 and a good tax return coming this might be the only time you'll ever see one of these up for sale again. ? I will take $3,900 cash. Many thanks to those who have offered me a trade deal so far. I am glad to see there is some interest. This is a flagship USA custom Adamas and you won't see any more. This guitar is definitely worth what you want for it. But currently the market for upscale guitars is quite small. Keep it and we talk again a year from now. ;) Karl
