Has Englemann Spruce top, 5-piece Mahogany/Maple neck in Natural Gloss finish, deluxe grade Ebony fingerboard with a 12th fret "Collectors" Abalone inlay and Ebony bridge. Price is also more than fair.

I am in the auto industry so this is where I get this from and did not know if it was an issue or not on the guitars

The wood on the '05 is nicer (I think), but it's not going to make a huge difference. Both have the LX neck bracing system. You shouldn't have any problem with the neck. Both have the OP preamps. I don't know what's in the 2077LX (or whatever the model number is). Personally, I like the OP Pro, but that's a personal opinion. They are going to sound very very similar with the differences only different guitars have, even within the same model. One's got more bling. The other is understated elegance. Personally, I'd go with the 05, but it's just a personal choice, based on money and what you like. Same construction, different bling.....

I've played both, they are very similar sounding and feeling guitars. In this case, it actually does come down to aesthetics if the price is the same. The look of the 05C is more unique since it was a limited run, and it looks quite elegant. On the other hand, the 2077LX is a fine looking instrument as well. You'll be pleased with either one. ![]()
