There is one light scratch on the bottom back of the guitar. The scratch is in the clearcoat only. You can see it in the last photo of the first page of the album. It starts about 1 inch above the centerline of the guitar. There are also what appear to be smudges in a couple areas of the back. I tried to polish them out with Dunlop 65, but they are still there. Once again they are only in the clear finish and can only be seen when the guitar is held at certain angles. The first four frets on the B string show just a slight hint of wear. The wear isn't very noticable unless the guitar is held at certain angles. The price is $1,800 plus actual insured shipping. Add 3% for PayPal. I will also give the buyer a 72 hour return guarantee. Let me know within 72 hours of receipt of the guitar that you want to return it and I will refund the full purchase price once the guitar is returned in the same condition as when I shipped it. Buyer will be responsible for freight both ways. Hopefully there are enough photos here to answer any questions. If not, let me know what you want a photo of and I will get it for you. Here are the specs per Martin's website. Thanks.

Truely one of the all time best guitars I have ever, ever, ever had the pleasure to play. This is going to absolutely kill me. Jack, your timing sucks but your price is dirt low. I came within inches of buying one earlier this year for $2900. ARGGGH, I'm gonna have to pass but man, I wish I could grab this. Do yourself (and me) a favor and put it on ebay for $2500. You'll sell it in a heartbeat. Good luck. Dave

Somebody should hurry up and go at it before Jack takes my advice and ups the price. I can abso-freakly-gaurantee that you'd love this. Let's see - big woody body, 12 fret slothead, 1-3/4 neck. Yeah, you'll sound like CSN&Y overnight.

It kind of sucks, cause I'm paying a lot more for the Santa Cruz, and I really don't expect it to sound as good, much less better than the CEO-5. Jack, YOU ARE CRAZY FOR SELLING THIS,... PERIOD

The he buys the CEO-5. Mark, I'll be sure to remind him that you owe him money. You really should be nicer to a fellow Porsche driver.

Joined: November 2007 Posts: 1486 Location: Cincinnati | Last night I told my wife that I had sold the CEO-5. She wasn't very happy with my decision because she knew what it took to find one and what a fine guitar it is. When I brought it to work this morning, packed and ready to be shipped, I decided to contact Simon to see if would cancel the sale. He kindly agreed to let me keep the guitar even though he had just completed the funds transfer. I transferred the funds back to him. The CEO-5 is staying with me. A very big thank you to Simon for his understanding. Also to my wife for her consideration. To Dave for helping me realize what I had. And to Trader Jim for stalking me on different forums to tell me how I would regret my decision and to just razz me.
