Joined: February 2009 Posts: 119 Location: New York | I saw this O on another post here and checked it out. It still is for sale. I emailed the guy and am waiting to hear back. I live in Syracuse, so I am close enough to deal with him. I have a question about it. It says that it is strung with nylon strings. Is this a classical style guitar. Is the neck wider than say a legend or an elite? I am getting it for my son and he has small hands but a big heart and talent. Can it be strung with regular steel strings? Thanks for the help folks. Git is here: http://binghamton.craigslist.org/msg/1220027479.html Thanks, Hoss

Joined: February 2009 Posts: 119 Location: New York | Ok you guys have convinced me. I am picking it up tomorrow at 11:00am. I have never had a classical guitar before. My son plays a little classical guitar, if you consider Mood for a Day classical. He has had no classical training, although he is presently learning finger picking. Well, we will try this Country Artist out for a bit and see how he likes it. If he doesn't, I may put it up on here to trade. What he really wants is a nice Legend. I know that there are plenty of Legends here. So, maybe someone has one to many legends and wants to add a Country Artist to his/her collection. I just want my boy to have a nice guitar that inspires him. Since I got my Custom Elite, he doesn't like to play anything else. (Can't blame him) The fellow that I am buying from says that it "plays like butter". That sounds pretty good to me. I can't wait to fart around with it. Thanks, Hoss

Joined: February 2009 Posts: 119 Location: New York | Question: The only problem with this guitar, according to the seller, is that one of the battery terminals pulled off due to corrosion. The battery was apparently left in for many years and when he tried to replace the battery one of the connectors came off with the battery. Is this going to be a difficult fix? How does this affect the value of the guitar? Also, does anyone have an estimate of approximate value?

No idea here. The best you might be able to do is search here or the bay for completed sales but even that can swing wildly at times.

My son, Logan, loves it and got to play it for my very amazed and impressed family over the weekend at our annual family reunion. I am very proud of the little guy. Best thing about this whole deal is he paid for it himself with tips that he has saved up from working with me at the pizza stand and $75 bucks that he got for selling his fender acoustic. I will post some pics soon.

The whole thing sounds like a dream. After the cost of fuel both ways, and the guy's time, it looks like your son got it for a wing and a prayer. Sweet Deal! Congratulations! Now you just need to get your son to join the club officially (:

I am not sure how much he will contribute to the group. At least he would rather play his O than RockBand on the playstation. ;-)
