It turns out that a certain beautiful Adamas 1581 is not my cup of tea after all. I spend way more time playing my 1868 Elite, and I am thinking I might deal both and get a nice 1778LX or something. I miss having a mid bowl, and the deep bowl is not really to my liking.

The walnut tuners make this a real steal at $1050.00 plus shipping (the same great deal Jack gave me).

More pix here.

Thanks for looking. Yes, I did give Jack first shot at it. He said he wouldn't mind if one of you fine fellers got it.

OW! OW! OW! Beautiful guitar, and I look good in blue too. But I need to sell a bunch before I buy anything else. It seems there are just as many tourists in town as usual, but they're not buying like they used to.

It's a great guitar. My wife still isn't happy I sold it. Unfortunately I don't have the money right now or I wouldn't hesitate to bring it back home.

If I didn't buy Blues' Ute just two weeks ago, that would be coming North for sure.

(SWMBO REALLY liked the "pretty blue one" - G8r's exact replica - when I played it down at iffy's in February. She's bummin' now...'course not enough to turn her back on me one more time).

That is a steal! Can't get into a textured top for much less than that.

Thanks guys. I agree it's a good price. Jack knew I wanted one, and he took less than he could have gotten so I could have it, even though he didn't know me. That's the OFC.

It does have them on the top, but the bowl is plain brown.

I had a PM that asked about fret wear, and I wanted to add this from an email Jack sent me when we were talking about it. He wanted there to be no surprises, and described very flaw he could think of:

{I think it is excellent, but I don't want you to have any surprises. The end of the headstock has 2 small dings. They aren't deep and are on the backside so they aren't that noticeable. The back of the neck has a few small indentations, but you have to look closely to see them. They are very thin and not deep. There are also 2 very thin, shallow lines that are on the back of the neck at about the 8th fret. One is one each side but they do not align. I think that the previous owner may have leaned the guitar against something. There is some fret wear, primarily on the treble E and B strings. The wear is flat, not grooved. I haven't been playing that long so I really don't know if one kind of wear is better than the other. I've let several very experienced players play it and no one has made any comments about any problems.}

As noted, it does have some minor fret wear, that does not affect playability.

The number on the sticker is 8716-87, so it's an '87?

Has what I assume is an older OP24 with no tuner built in.

It's a 1994 same age as my -9.

87 is the guitars natural resonant frequency.

Great guitar

I may be confusing it with another guitar, but I thought it was a 92. What's the serial #, Jas? It's on a rectangular label inside near the neck.

Thanks for everyone's help. This guitar is sold. It is moving from one Dawg to another, and a certain 6778LX is headed to the Elitist.
