Whoa, you're giving TJ and Dweez some competition in the acquisition department!

Alison,

Ask the seller if he will drop it off at a UPS store for you. It will cost you about $100 to have it shipped but UPS guarantees safe delivery. I'd go after it myself but I don't have the money.

So...WE DID!!
Joisey Goil #1 and Honorary Joisey Goil by Way of South Dakota announce the proud acquisition of this 12-stringer. (I just talked to Ali, and she will share more tomorrow.)
I will go and inspect it on Sunday and (hopefully) acquire it; then I will send her on to her new home.
The neat part is, the owner is located less than a mile from where I attend church, so it will be a piece of cake to go pick it up.
I will leave the gloating and posting of pictures to Ali; I am just the "adoption agency" here.

Ya just gotta love the 'family network'! I sure hope that the bidding ended early with Alison the winner!

Do you think the beer and sun had anything to do with it? :D

Massive thanks to my sweet sister Karen! And thanks to Iffy for posting on the general board that I needed some Joisey help. This is the most fantastic group of people on the internet. My wallet may be poorer since I've joined, but my life is richer. And MAN! Have I got some nice guitars!

I SO agree. I couldn't believe it when Iffy offered to check out a guitar for me when I was a brand new member (thanks again, bug man, even if the deal didn't happen).

Congratulations, and good going Karen! Hey, do I get a number? I feel left out, haha.

I am quite close to the NJ shore area, so please never hesitate to ask me if you see something you're interested in or around my area ~ and that goes for the rest of you all, too. ;)

ABSOLUTELY! That and being in the 'chop' for four and a half days with about four hours sleep per night...

I've been home for two hours and now that I'm relaxed, the keyboard is 'rocking' just like I'm still on the water...

Again, another fantastic OFC team job!

Congrats Alison! What are you doing, building the collection of "O"'s for your gathering next year so no one needs to bring one? ;) :D

Elgin, yes, that was my shop. The guitar you played was one of my Bean Blossoms made by Morgan Monroe. It was yellow, right? Great guitar and they don't make 'em anymore so the two that I have are not for sale. You ought to come up again. We have jam sessions almost every day.

Bob, I think I probably have enough guitars for everyone. I know Karen will be playing the Parlor, and Iffy (if he) can make it, will be taking it home when he leaves. The twelver will probably be gone by then. I bought it to sell. It'll probably be gone within hours. I have customers looking for twelve strings, and there is nothing that sounds as good as an O.

Willa, we certainly don't want you to feel left out, so since fellow member Cheryl is "Joisey Goil #2," you may become one of the Three Musketeers and be "Joisey Goil #3" (which would make Ali our equivalent of D'Artagnan.) ;)
