Joisey Goil #2 was over tonight, and was using my '97 Parlor...and has totally fallen in love with her. (Unfortunately, so have I, and she is a permanent member of the family. Right up there with Gertrude and Jewel.)

So...if there are any among you who have one with the thinner neck that you might be willing to part with, please let me know.
Thanks.

Merci, Edouard;
By the time we pay what you're asking, and then pay to get it shipped over, it's going to be beyond what either one of us can afford to spend.
But...maybe now someone over on your side of the pond will have the opportunity to take her home.

I know that the exchange rate is not good for amerian buyer.

That make s the New Yorker '97C for $850 on CL look like a deal. The only problem is I haven't seen his many repeated ads lately.

Good luck Karen! I'll keep a 'llok out' fer ya'll...

There's a 97C here at Wade's Music (Milwaukee, WI). They're a small local vintage type shop, so I'm not sure if they ship (probably would). It played nice, but I didn't notice if it was a wide or narrow neck (probably a narrow as that's what I have and I didn't notice any difference).

It's about $595 or something there-about, but they've alway been flexible when I've purchased.

The last time I was in the Music outlet in Sevierville Tn I think they had one. I think they were asking $600.00 and they ship all over the US.

We have found one; the sale is pending, courtesy of one of our board members. I will won't say much more until it's all done, but we are very grateful to a certain brother here.

Thank you, all, for your help--truly this is the best place.

I had the Music Outlet in Sevierville, TN down to $800 but walked away as they had no idea where the case was at, didn't even try to look.

Brad, you've seen their store. Would you know where to start looking? ;)

Jim, I agree but I love shopping in a messy guitar store.

Brad, The only time i talked to them about that guitar was about 4-5 years ago and the kid I talked to thought they might let it go for about $1,000. I would think if they wanted to move it they would put a lower sticker price on it. They have never been pushy about trying to get you to buy a guitar. That is one reason I like to stop in every couple of weeks.

Capo Guy, if you love messy guitar stores, you've GOT to come to the Black Hills! Step in here on a Sunday morning after a busy week-end of music and you will have to walk around PA's and mic stands and guitar cases laying around everywhere. :D

My kind of store. Someday my wife and I want to head out that way. Hope you have a spare capo I can use.

I would bet I can find one or two. As a matter of fact, I have a mandolin capo from the 40's or 50's I believe, that although I wouldn't USE it if I were you, it just might be a neat conversation piece for your collection.

And...the rest of the story:

Cheryl has received her very-much wanted Parlor, courtesy of our own Capo Guy. It has arrived safely, and she is just thrilled. (I will be visiting her with my "twin," and can't wait to hear them side by side.)
Her computer was misbehaving, and I promised to post this for her.

Thank you, Mike, for making this possible; love from both of us,

I played it for a few minutes before tuning it down and packing it.

Dangerous thing to do when shipping a guitar.

I do have something to take its place so I'm happy that Cheryl loves it and that it arrived safely.

This is an interesting tale. Did you buy the one from the Music Outlet that various members have been looking at for years?

Wonder if I was looking at the same guitar or need to have my eyes checked. I will have to stop in my next Seviervill run.

I'm really looking forward to the Black Hills O'Jam next summer. We overfly your store just about weekly (Boise/Chicago or Den/Rap) and it always gets me to thinking about you and your shop.
