Y'all know what this is so I won't bore you with the specs. It has the same -7 finish as my "Book" Elite.

Plays perfect. Zero fret wear. Zero defects except for one of the latches on the case.

$850

Plus applicable shipping costs.

Beautiful, Damon. I have one exactly like that. They are outstanding instruments and really fun to play. You know they are the real deal when Glen Campbell decided to make it his main Ovation gig guitar a few years back. Good luck with the sale. Great guitar at a great price.

I've pretty much worn out the one I got in 95-96..put a b-bender on it & a synth pickup..took 'em both off & still gig with it mostly..it's a work horse beside being pretty!

Thanks all. It is a marvelous guitar. I wish I could keep it but I had to make the tou gh choice.

As for the finish, I bought it preowned so I don't know if it was ordered special.

I'll hafta get back on the serial as I'm sitting in traffic in a snow storm on the way to Pullman, WA. It's dads weekend at WSU. Friggin 5 hour drive. Get to go watch the Cougs lose tomorrow in person.

Very nice EA68 and great pics Damon, however this is not the -7 finish as for the "book" style but the normal -4.
Here is a pic of my EA68-7LTD. I'd be very tempted to grab yours since i love chambered body Vipers, but povation is very fast ;)

The top of my book and the top of the viper are the same color regardless of if it's called a -7 or a -4.

I've had several -4s and this is a different color than any -4 I've ever had. More amberish or antiquish if you will.

Arnaud, My EA68-7LTD is in the middle. Mine looks like Damon's EA68. I always thought -7 was called nutmeg. I also had an EA58 refinished to match.

Ah ok, i was refering to abalone trim and 30th anniversary logo, not this particular ambered colour. Thanks for the clarification Damon and Noah. Congrats Povation, you bought a great Viper at a very fair price :)

Yes Dan, this is the steel one from Fugot, who purchased it from Miles some years ago.
At the same time i bought the nylon EA63 from Miles, which has no S/N and a wider flat neck (2 inches) than the regular EA63, i love her.
Have a look to my linked Ning page, i recently added pics of both guts and steel Vipers.

I still can't believe Fugot's Book Viper came up for sale within only 20 miles of my place and Arnaud beat me to it. Someday, I gotta get me one of those.

I'd love to see one of these. Does anyone know if there's an EA68 in the Houston area?

Dan, i believe they were no more than 20 "book" Vipers built.
Mine is not for sale at the present time, i love her brilliant sustained sound.
You can hear that EA68 through my Ning page, in the "Music" area located on the left corner.
"Medley for Marcel" and "song for Merle" are played with the EA68, the fat sustained sound of 'Pu Uana Hulu" is the one of the EA63.
BTW, Prof and Dan, if i decide to sell her one day, i shall contact you before placing any AD on the internet.
All the best,

Thanks, Arnaud. These are so rare that we'd have better luck just ordering a blinged out custom through the factory.
