I've got a daughter in Tacoma, not far away, and my other daughter might be able to take it with her to northern California after Christmas. But I have to disclose that if she picked it up, it would probably end up in Idaho instead of California. I should probably sell a couple so I could justify a 97. I can rationalize buying a parlor guitar because it's a different size than the 15 other Ovations I've got hanging around.

Getting it on the airplane during the Christmas madness will not be likely. You might contact Damon and see if he'd pick it up and ship it down. I think he's pretty close.

Thanks to everyone for their attempts to help me get this one down to CA, but as Iffy said,"I wasn't meant to have THIS one."

I thought a parlor guitar would be nice for some variety, but I thought the same about the SSB Custom Balladeer and the Country Artist, both of which are gathering dust.

I still thoroughly enjoy the tonal qualities my Princess has, and it's been several months now. (The wonderful thin neck doesn't hurt, either.) If you get one, Mark, you may not just let it become a case dweller...and, if you would like to try one, come to Ali's Black Hills jam the end of June (coming up quick, now)--I know she's got the 14-fret version there for us to enjoy. --Karen

Joined: March 2005 Posts: 12754 Location: Boise, Idaho | I was thinking about this one this morning again. It's the same price I paid for the Patriot, which is a great guitar, but I have another Custom Legend. I have 3 Balladeers and the Custom Balladeer doesn't get played. The Country Artist sits in the case in the office. If I could unload one or two of those, the 97 would at least be something different. I'd love to go to the Black Hills jam, but it's a surprisingly long drive from here and I will be driving or flying to Chicago the next week.

This is true and I apologize publicly. I have no direct knowledge of the guitar's condition.

If he's that hung up on your post you'd probably only be asking for trouble to deal with him. Stuff happens for a reason.
