Those who have played it at one of the OFC Factory Tours were blown away by the sound and setup. I was so blown away that I bought it. The history is that this guitar started life as a regular old early 70's Pacemaker 1615 but somewhere along the way the body got damaged and it's owner invested a lot of money to bring it back to life. Not just bring it back, but build it into something totally unique. The original slothead neck, tuners, etc. were mated to a BRAND NEW A-BRACED TOP, including completely new bowl. And of course turn it into a proper acoustic only 12-string in Ovations beautiful sunburst finish. I don't even know what to call this thing other than WONDERFUL. o New A-Braced solid spruce top, sunburst finish o New deep bowl o New walnut bridge o Original 5 piece neck and slotted headstock o Original fretboard with just about zero fret wear o Original nut and a cool woodgrained TRC o Original chrome slothead tuners o Original hardshell case There are a few very small nicks and some dust/dirt on the original neck, but the body and top are 100% perfect brand spanking new looking. And the SOUND ??? I have a feeling those who played this guitar might chime in. It really HAS to be heard to be believed. $565. Includes 2 Day FED EX Shipping within the 48 US States Email or PM me if interested.

I'm selling it because I've got a few irons in the fire right now as far as other pursuits and just need to consolidate a little. Having more than one 12-string isn't necessary. This one and the Adamas are a flip of the coin to me, and I didn't think anyone would have the funds to buy my Adamas. So figured I'll try to move the Pacemaker. Selling it for what I paid + shipping.

Classified & categorized, at that time, as "didn't know what I had." That's a real bargain, Dave. Wish I had the cash, but the MWoody Limited is due to pull in next week.

This is nearly the same as the one I just sold in November that I had rebuilt...except mine had the FET 2 pre installed...and it was a 1615...but it did sing acoustically... I just replaced mine w/ an all original '77-1 so I'm full up for now...someone is going to get a wonderful 12...Dave has only the finest....

THANKS Yeah, maybe I wasn't clear enough - this was not just rebuilt with the same old body design (Fan Bracing). The new top was specifically done in an A braced pattern which REALLY makes a big difference. She's a singer !!!

So for the next foreseeable time, this O is going to Korea like most of the Os' I have purchased from OFC members. Unfortunately, my so-called friends have came to my home and have depleted the inventory. So out of 7 Ovations (2005 Collector's, Patriot, FD-14, etc.) I have only two remaining. 5 have disappeared. I do not intend to invite these friends to my home any time soon. Simon

You people need to realize that because this top is A braced, it's got a fuller bass response than a standard Ovation slothead 12 string. In my mind, it's the best sounding slothead Ovation 12 ever built.... Was the fan bracing simply stronger and thus better for sale to the general public? I have a 12-string back at the factory right now for a top replacement and the idea of having them change the bracing intrigues me. What's the down side?

However, I gave da FUD (kotadawg's) to my son because he kept oggling at it until he drove me crazy. But I kept the Patriot (Tony Calman's) for myself, although my co-worker was oggling very hard at the Patriot when he came over for the X-mas party at my house. He doesn't even play. Of course I feel very lucky to have laid my hands on Dave's Pacemaker as you and Moody pointed out. So a good start of the New Year with a great get. This being the year of the White Tiger (in Chinese Zodiac) which comes only every 60 years, I sorely needed this great start. Happy White Tiger Year to You All!
